Neo Laptop Tech Support
Neo Computers is getting some terrible online testimonials at jozzua.com. Jenylyn Sugui, a poster on the thread, even puts her comments in capital letters - as if she was shouting:
CONGRATULATIONS FOR NOT BUYING A NEO BRAND LAPTOP, otherwise, you might be encountering the same problem as I am till this day…, I REGRETTED BIG TIME… BUYING NEO CORE DUO, WHAT YOU HEARD ABOUT THEIR TECHNICAL SUPPORT IS TRUE, AND EVEN THEIR WARRANTY IS A NIGHTMARE!!!
MY MOM GOT SHOCKED WHEN SHE WAS QUOTED FOR P18K + JUST FOR THE REPAIR OF USB PORT PIN, IMAGINE, A 2 MONTH OLD, P45K LAPTOP AND A REPAIR OF P18K, THEY VOID THE WARRANTY AND CLAIMING THAT THE DAMAGE WAS CAUSED BY FORCE OR IN THEIR TERM, “PHYSICAL DAMAGE†The “RUMORS†you heard were not RUMORS, they are true and I CAN ATTEST TO THAT,in fact… My MOM WROTE A COMPLAINT TO THE CONSUMERS WELFARE OFFICE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF TRADE AND INDUSTRY regarding this matter… and they will meet tomorrow, august 2, 2007 at the office of the Consumers Welfare Group located at the City Hall of Parañaque.
JUST A LITTLE WORD OF KINDNESS I CAN SHARE TO YOU….
“DON’T EVEN THINK ABOUT BUYING A NEO LAPTOP FOR YOUR WIFE, IT WILL CERTAINLY CAUSE YOU & YOUR WIFE PROBLEM.
Despite all the tech support horror stories, Bits (who claims to be from Neo Computers) still tries to answer online customer concerns. He posts:
…for those who have posted problems here who have not been personally contacted for resolution, please contact us a 724-3636 or email us at care@neo.com.ph. Please rest assured that we are monitoring this site as it allows us to find ways to improve our service and work with customers with unresolved issues.
Many Filipinos are now discovering that tech support is also quite important. The next time you buy a laptop, make sure there is a warranty and that the tech support is very good.
Where the casio digital camera is more popular with tweenagers, professionals usually prefer canon digital cameras. However if you are a novice, the best option would be to go for the kodak digital camera.

i don’t understand. how come, even after hearing all those warranty nightmares, and questionable tech support, you still end up buying a NEO?
let me guess, probably one day you decided you needed a brand new laptop. you went to store A selling a MAC! with all the bells and whistles, at a price of p150k. you went to store B selling a NEO, with the same specs but at a bargain price of p40k only! so after all the pros and cons, you decided “i think i’m going to get me a NEO!” so again why a NEO? probably because it’s CHEAP! right? am i right? am i right? if they sell you that same NEO for p150k with a full replacement guarantee will you buy it? probably not! so, i think at p110k price difference, you took the risk. now you have a problem with your laptop, which, probably is your fault. so why whine? everything has a price. you get your moneys worth! and for a laptop to be that CHEAP, i would expect them to cut corners. now you complain it with DTI. the guy probably keeps nodding his head like a jackhammer agreeing to everything you said and genuinely concerned with your problem. but right now he’s probably laughing his ass off! welcome to the philippines. are you born yesterday?
but again the problem is how you buy stuff and not the stuff itself. ofcourse the salesman will promise you the moon and the stars just for you to purchase. he’s probably on comission. but anything that good an offer is probably not good. remember “if it’s too good to be true, it’s probably not.”
so there’s no reason to whine. i say if it’s your fault then you pay for it. afterall you already saved about p110k. even at p18k repair cost, it’s still cheaper than a MAC! hell you can even throw that one away and get yourself a new one! it’s still cheaper!
Believe me when I say that I do not want to support a brand that delivers services below par. However, the decision is out of my hands, since I’m not the one purchasing the laptop. >
In addition, Call it blatant stubbornness, but I already warned him about NEO and my experiences with their ‘customer service’.
The point is, customer service - whether you have a cheap brand or not is something that businesses should focus on and give importance to. No one would want to transact or do business with you if you don’t value your clients.
If NEO ‘cuts corners’ as you think they do, since the price is cheap, then expect that they will get a lot of complaints from their customers. You cannot fault a customer for being frustrated with a faulty product, because it is still something that they spent for. Regardless of the cost, people still WANT RESULTS.
Do not blame people for telling it as it is - and as it should be, because NEO needs to know that one of these days, no one would bother buying laptops from them. One company that I used to work with had a bad experience with NEO and is now warning clients and partners regarding the brand. What goes around comes around. So, actually customers who give feedback is something that NEO should be thankful for.
The more important question is, after reading all these feedbacks and answering with spiel replies, is NEO going to do something about it?
i admit that i bought neo laptops for the reason that their price is cheap and now i am paying the price.
their customer service really is rotten. i even wrote a complain letter to their manager but to no avail. i was able to get my laptop from them but still with problems. i wanted to write another letter to their manager but i was to lazy to do it because nothing good happens naman. right now, my other neo laptop ( yes, poor me bought another NEO laptop) is inside my bag and i only take it out when my baby wants to play with it
but i still think that its no excuse that their price is cheap so should their services be.

anyway thanks for dropping by my blog.

@Milet
How long have you had your NEO laptops? When did you purchase them?
Nicole,
i purchased my first neo last dec 2006, and the second one was when i had my first neo repaired - aug 28, 2007.
milet
@Milet,
Any chance getting your NEO laptops back? I’m beginning to get really paranoid with mine, since I’ve been reading posts that the lifespan of NEO is less than a year.
Hello.
I am also another victim of the neo BAD experience. My laptop brokedown after 1 and a half years of usage. I gave neo megamall the unit to have it looked at last Oct 8, a month has past and I still don,t have feedback from them regarding the diagnosis. Is there a way for me to report this inefficiency? I also wrote them an email that garnered zeroooo response from them. I think these guys should close shop.
Yikes, now I’m really getting paranoid with my laptop. What happened to your laptop? Faulty LCD?
I was told that the NEO laptops that were manufactured last year have problems with their LCDs (or conk out after a year or so of usage).
I got to talk to a rep in one of the shops that carry NEO units and he told me that the laptops of last year are not being offered anymore and that may pinalitan na raw [hardware specs?](I wonder why)…
It seems that when something goes wrong with a NEO laptop, wala nang mangyayari. Their service ends once they sell you the laptop. You’re left to fend for yourself… >.
i still have my NEO laptop but after using it for 3 mos.. the DVD drive brokedown… i never got to used the warranty ‘coz it takes a lot of time so instead i have to used my other notebook an HP… i suggest don’t buy another NEO laptop..
I bought a NEO laptop last year, it still runs quite well despite everything. The only problem was the battery went dead after a year. No biggie.
I really wanted to buy the Vivid series specialy with the “12 Gifts” promo but alas, budget constraints.
Hi! I got a new NEO Empriva Laptop October 07, just a few months ago. It had the free version of Windows 2007 Office and I was told that I would have to have a full version installed and I did. That was around the 2nd week of October. By late November I was having problems with my NEO. It would shut down every now and I again. It was tolerable because it would start back up again, so I did not mind it much. Then one day, it shut down and would not open the windows program, so I took it for repair at a Neo service center. I got it back within 24 hours, they told me that they had to reformat it and I thought it was fine already. 2 weeks later, a new error message appeared and again my NEO would not start up. I sent it back to the service center, they checked it and I got it back after 24 hours. It worked fine for 8 hours or so. Then when I had to turn it on again, it wouldn’t and showed the same error message. I brought be it back to the service center. They had it overnight, gave it back to me and told me to observe it. This time it would turn on for just a bit. December 17, 2007 I took it back to the service center and was told that the memory may be the problem. They asked me to leave it there and that they would contact me as soon as they have news on what would be done with my NEO. It’s only been less that 48 hours but I am really worried. Its a new laptop, barely any scratches on it.:( I’m really hoping I could get it back soon, before the holidays hopefully. If it turns out that the problem was really a factory defect, then I know that I would be getting another NEO in the future, I’d would rather spring for the Mac.
I’m hoping everything turns out OK. I’m a writer and that laptop has unofficially become my life! LOL. I’m wishing you guys all the best with your NEOs.
I bought a NEO laptop and it still works well after more than two years…. Although, the battery also went dead after just 6 months. Their tech people said its a design flaw (which i think should have not been overlooked by the manufacturer)…
i suggest don’t buy neo laptop.. the price is cheap but the quality isnt good.. even the service center I bought a unit and after months of using it, it broke down I brought it to their service center multiple times but it seems that they cant figure what the problem is.. ngsawa n ako bumalik sa service center after days of using it masisira na nmn

I wish to express my disappointment to the NEO Notebook/Laptop I bought last December 26, 2007 with Model ENDURA540SLE and a Serial Number NK540SEC7H00869. It cost P 26,999.00 and I paid it in cash with hard earned money. I thought all along NEO products has the quality that satisfies a diligent client since your advertisement was very fascinating. After a month, the laptop bogged down despite the proper use and maintenance I applied all throughout the time it was within my possession. I brought it immediately to NEO Manufacturing & Services Inc. in SM Mega Mall last February 3, 2008 but apparently, they are under renovation and have no available gadgets for repair. After which, I brought it to your service center in Shaw Blvd., 2/F 431 Cor. Ideal St., Mandaluyong City last February 4, 2008 and your technician told me that it takes 2 weeks (WOW!!!) before it can be repaired due to unavailability of materials. I clearly understand that they are just doing their job but I hope your management also understands that I needed the Laptop AS SOON AS POSSIBLE because the due date of my thesis submission will be on February 13, 2008. Honestly, I bought the above-mentioned laptop purposively for the data management of my manuscript. I’ve lost my interest/momentum to finish my Master’s Degree because the data are still in my laptop and until now I was not able to finish it since I have to lend computer from friends who have heart of lending me their personal computer on gratuity. Unfortunately, I just can’t borrow from one person to another since it is a big disturbance on their part and I am feeling inhibited anymore of asking anyone who can be of help to me. Please be mindful of the quality of your products and services. If you can’t have my Neo Laptop repaired as soon as I needed it, better replace it with a new one of the same kind or you can send me a laptop which I can borrow from your company as long as my laptop was not yet fixed. Please, I am already burned out with all the pain of doing my Thesis Manuscript and desperate on the idea that I might not be able to finish it on time despite the fact that I am one of those running to graduate this coming March with academic distinction. I hope your management is heedful and kindhearted enough to sympathize with me being one of your clients. I am looking forward to hear a positive response from your management.

Good Day
Before I buy a neo laptop, I survey and ask wha laptop should I choose.
As majoriy of staff who sell the neo noebooks, their feedback why neo is buy by cusomers are:
it cheaper compared to other products,,
students could afford it,
I select the model 572 slx notebook, neo eudura,, 12 inch.
I chose these for mobility and comforable,
But as I observed in a weeks a months,,
It heats up early around 30 mins- 1 hour,,
performance of battery, could for 30 mins- 1 hour.
This look my attention because it might damage the software or hardware when heats start,
I bought cooling pad as their advice to minimize the heat but it continue to occur.
I hope this laptop could mee consumers durability, performance.
I went the company where i buy, they said , bring the laptop with them for diagnost in Manila because there authorize to check.
To check the laptop is in good condition.
Is it so called customer satisfacttion? Is it right to post comment here?
Pls help me regarding this matter, thanks
I hope this laptop could meet the needs of consumers performance and durabiliy.
I hope to hear positive response on this topic.
thanks
I bought my laptop last April 6, 2008. Within the first week of its use, i got so much problems like the system hangs frequency, and the worst of it, the battery drains so fast. Why Neo?! Why did you create so very low quality laptops. I spend my mother’s money on such a waste!
correction! system hangs often!
For 572SVBx notebook,
I’ve had it since October. I’ve let it run for more than 3 days at a time, and aside from my complaint of low battery life, and running hot, so far, no problems from me.
WAAHHHHHH!!!!
my old neo still works. its more than a year old now. battery, surprisingly not dead yet. my friend’s NEO endura wasn’t so fortunate, its totally screwed up! the monitor doesn’t work, so he sticks a desktop monitor into the port so he has a monitor. guess what, it’s been 2 years now and he still doesn’t have a replacement monitor from NEO. he can afford to buy another laptop (he’s a very successful lawyer from a big law firm) but out of principle, he sticks with the rickety NEO to serve as a reminder NEVER TO BUY A NEO AGAIN!
anyways i’m sticking to a MAC. and my life’s near heaven.
MAC users: update your softwares often, especially for Safari. it’s under attack from malwares. we all know no virus has done in a MAC system yet, but MACs are not particularly immune from malwares. so there…
i’mplanning to buy a neo laptop, but because of what i been reading about its inefficiency in service, short battery life and more complaints, i think i’m thinking 10 times if i will buy pa..
i’m planning to buy neo laptop but because of what i ve been reading…complaints about short battery life, inefficient technical people, constant hanging,i think i’m thinking 100 times if i will still buy neo….
whoever is the author of this page, you are so unfair. you post only the negative feedbacks of a product but you dont post the good things of it. May you gain more money for this and may you live forever.
im not working for neo but i worked for a different computer company before. the thing happened on the bent pin in the USB connector is considered as a user inflicted damage or something like accidental damage. If your warranty doesnt cover scenarios like that, you would most likely need to pay for the repair of the said part regardless of the age of the computer. the company is not being unfair but i think they are just following the contract that you signed when you purchased the product…
William, just read the comments of the other users.
Hi All,
If you have not yet been contacted by NEO Care for issue resolution, please do post your serial number and email so we can work with you to resolve any issues you may have.
Hello
Its true that neo battery lasts only a couple of minutes. I have a 2-year old Neo laptop. It has no problems actually. But because of ‘pagiging ambisyosa” I experiment by re-installing my windows XP again because of too many virus. The keypad isnt functioning afterwards. My mess.
Probably it is how u use it.Not the brand itself.
Besides people i used to work in medical transcription company used Neo laptops and they lasts long some at about 5 years.
Guys, maaring ganun nga kapag mura ang bili maaring mura din ang balik sa atin na panahon ng paggamit, instead of trying say some ill reasons against this product dapat inisip nating mga consumers na may mga consequences lahat ng ating binibili, before you buy, look the specifications dapat 3 weeks or a month ay nagreresearch ka, try to look on a certain sites that will really hep you to choose the best laptop for you or go to the laptop center near you, ask about the products and if you choose one try to consult your friends who are laptop users also, kung di pa kayo kuntento try to research in wikipedia dun talaga malalaman if certain laptop brand is fit for your taste then you also found out kung paano, kailan, at gaano ka paraan ang products nila. I addition, ito ang nakuha kong Neo Laptop wikipedia its says; “NEO are specialized for limited purposes, they are generally much cheaper than a standard laptop computer.”
That’s all guy, all i can say to this person is kasalanan mo yan!, guys, di sa pagmamalaki, i’m a sony vaio user, before, balak ko rin bumili ng Neo laptop cheap price nga talaga, but the question is, Can this laptop fit my expectations or can this product indulge me? yun lang a certain question that hang on my mind kung di mo kaya bumili ng laptops na mataas ang halaga why don’t you try to save your money first ’till the day na makabili ka ng gusto mo or try installment bases. I’m not a rich person pero tulad ng sinabi ko ganun ang ginawa ko total my desktop pa ako noon na ginagamit. lol….
In my experience, the laptop itself is ok but the tech support is really really crappy!!!! (and with laptops, tech support is really important). That company has a lot to learn about post-purchase support
I had my neo for more than a year now and except for the heating I didn’t encounter any technical problems YET I guess i’m lucky haha. I use it for programming and gaming and it performs really well except for the intense heat and very very poor tech support, imagine I called to complain about the fan which seems not functioning and rarely runs and the tech support told me that It should be running all the time and that all laptops should, hello thats why they desinged an automatic fan so that it will only run when needed so that it won’t eat up a lot of battery. It only proves that Neo tech support doesn’t have a clue about their own product.
anyways does anyone here knows how to configure the Neo’s fan so that it would run the whole time while the notebook is on?
Need help… where can i find drivers for m360s Neo laptop q-notebook. thanks..
neo rules! i love my neo yes i do!
Nakakarelate me sa comments on the NEO laptop! I thought buying a NEO would be very helpful to me kaso binigyan lang din ako ng sakit ng ulo. Bakit ganun? Well siguro nga dahil mura sya… Pero ano gagawin mo kung yun lang kaya ng pera mo? my husband bought the laptop early last year kaso after mga 8 mos eh nasira sya… So sakop pa sya ng warranty. Nagawa sya pero 6 mos after the repair, sira na naman so di na sakop ng warranty. And they are asking for 14K for the repair. What are the chances na magawa sya ng libre uli knowing na karerepair lang tapos di man lang tumagal? And the fact pa na sobra alaga ko yung laptop na yun. Parang napaka imposible na di sya tumagal. 1 yr and 4 mos ko pa lang nagamit minus the repair time na umaabot ng buwan.
Well good luck to my new neo loptop after i’ve read all those comments!!!i hope my neo would last a decade or forever!!!hehehehe…
I bought a neo laptop last december. A friend of mine told me that it’s good, so I decided to get 1. Imman comments were right the battery lasts only for 30 minutes-1 hour. One of the main use of a laptop is for us to use a pc even outside coz it’s handy but it doesn’t make sense if the battery lasts only for 30 minutes to an hour. Most of the time it freezes, and I don’t have any option left but to remove the battery because even CTRL ALT DEL and pressing the power button won’t do. I bought it for 39k, and I’m expecting a better performance in exchange of the amount, I know that was not the most expensive laptop but as a consumer I know I should have a better performing laptop, but I’m not getting what I expected. I remember, when I first got the unit it didn’t turn on, so I went back to the store and they changed only the battery, they did not changed the unit, the 2nd time I realized that the power lasts only for 30 minutes to an hour so I brought it back to the store and they changed it. It didn’t help because it’s still performing poorly. I was a tech support so at least I know how PC should work, I know this one doesn’t work well.
I have a NEO Empriva 572 SVBX black.
-Vista Basic running on “1″ gig of RAM
-I WILL DOWNGRADE THIS TO AN XP. GIVEN ITS SPECS IT WILL PERFORM EXCEEDINGLY SA XP.
-MAGHAHANAP AKO NG USB ELECTRICFAN O LAPTOP COOLER.
-BIBILI AKO NG SPRAYPAINT NA PUTI PARA BABUYIN SHA PARA DI SHA MAINIT SA MATA. LIKOD LNG NG LCD SPRAYAN KO WAKOKOKOK (JOKE PO ITO)
BALE YUN..YUN ANG COMMENT KO SA LAPTOP KONG DI NA NALABAS NG BAHAY.
I bought a cheap Neo laptop about 2 years ago and right after the warranty expired, some of the buttons on the keypad no longer work. They said it will cost me 2,500php to have it replaced. I am just disappointed with the quality.
I AGREE 100%
I bought my laptop NEO Emprevia NVP2 Core2 Duo 1GB (DAW!) 512 lang pala
It was 11 months old and one day I charged it and it got so hot for only 2 hours of charging the socket melted and the charger got stuck and cannot be removed.
SO the next day I repaired it at Neo Megamall
It was nice after 1 week it was repaired, I said at least they replied or called me.
Then I was in a hurry to get my laptop cause I have to go to a event I just stuck my time a little to get the laptop.
It was repaired I looked at it and (@#!@#YT^%@&#^%!@*#&!@#) THere are tons of bumps and scratches all over the laptop. The manager was so confused and baffled he even said that was not there before. THe laptop was a TOTAL WRECK!!!
So I replied with ANGER that they to fix it immediately, they said that it will take months due to the investigation. I said to the manager to give me a testimonial letter proof that I did not do anything to the laptop resulting to it’s condition. And he agreed to my demands and he said I should go to the Main Repair center at Shaw Bulevard, It was only 2-3 kilometers away from SM megamall.
When I got there the repair man was so confused and said to me privately that it ALWAYS HAPPEN!!! 2-10 repairs there is always an return damage. I said to my self (@#*@# ” ARE YOU A GOOD COMPANY? $#*$@)
So I replied at a tone of voice to repair it ASAP, he said that he can do it at 1 hour but I arrived at 5pm which is closing time so I returned the next day and got it. With just 3 weeks warranty I got my laptop with brand new casing glass and whole body replacement. At the end it was ok.
But 1 month after another BAD BAD BAD happened, the speaker was not working on the right ALL ALONG!!! I could not notice to the VERY WEAK speakers, PLUS THE BATTERY IS DRAINED in just 1 YEAR!!!!! OMG the WORST LAPTOP EVER!!!! so I can only use this crap at connecting it at a plug SO MUCH FOR LAPTOP MOBILITY!!!. Until now I can’t even bring it to the repair center cause I’m so busy.
TO ALL NEVER BUY NEO LAPTOPS!!!!!!!
Just bought a NEO Q-note, yep the latest model according to the salesrep at mega mall, yesterday. This laptop - a POS and it STINKS! It has a bios bug. When pressing F2 for system settings, right after NEO splash, it hangs. The WGA screen has a defect there are dead pixels at the lower portion of the screen after installing linux. Today, am bringing this back to the mall. I hope they’ll give a replacement.
Would be buyers of this brand - give it a long and thorough consideration.
If I had money, I wouldn’t end up with a NEO. I bought the cheapest laptop around, about 21K. The fan sounds like sex with a vacuum cleaner and it’s not doing its job well. It still heats up. I’m also one of the victims of NEO’s rotten services. The first time it bogged down, it took 3 weeks to repair the unit. Then after a couple of months, it bogged down again. it has been a month until now and I think it would take another 2 weeks or more. Because I’m a student and I badly need a computer, my mom bought me a 3K desktop.
Nagmakaawa pa ako nun.
NEO must make laptop for the kids if they cannot improve quality and reliability, like VTECH learning laptops for children, so that when they break down, the effects would not be felt. Kids are just playing. Professionals that rely on their laptop so much are adversely affected. They should name it NEO Aspilets and Kidilets instead of Endura. That Endura name is ironic
I ENCOUNTER PROBS ABOUT NEO LAPTOP, RVP-600 THEIR AFTER SALES. 4 TIMES ALREADY SEND TO NEO COMPANY FOR REPAIR & THEN THEY SAID NA OK NA, WHEN IT BAKS SAMIN I FOUND OUT MAS LALONG NASIRA ANG UNIT, BALIK NA NAMAN SA KANILA W/ PAYING THE FREIGHT & HANDLING, 4 TIMES YON. YAN ANG PROBS SA TECH SUPPORT NILA PARANG TI NA TRY & ERROR LNG ANG UNIT NATIN…
most comments astound me because i bought a neo laptop basic last year and it’s still running fine. well, there you go, the problem of heat and low-battery life. but other than that, i haven’t encountered major problem yet. the speed, above all, has been excellent. lucky, i guess. im just keeping my fingers crossed that my neo will last for at least 3 years to even up the score.
naku!!!..tumangap p naman ako ng neo, sinanla sken for 5K..4 months plang s may-ari ksama receipt worth 28K..sandamakmak n reklamo pla ang inaabot ng neo..almost a month n ung neo sken, and as far as i’ve experienced..battery ang bilis bilis mlobat..un lang..
sana tubusin, syang 5k ko!!!
aw… bat now ko lang nabasa mga bad comment nyo, kakabli ko lng kanina, ng B2165N, pansin ko lang mabilis maubos batt. then mainit yung sides ng toggle pad. Aw….
I’m starting to believe the nightmare brought by Neo laptop. I bought one V2120 last July 20 this year. Since then, my cd drive didn’t work. I reported that already in their Tech Support in Megamall but they only replaced the cd. Hello, my problem is the cd drive and not the cd. It worked naman but when I got home, I try another cd and sira na naman. Now, I calling their Tech Support again. Following up the replace of cd drive itself na. Almost one week and they never returned any call. Laging kailangan sila pa ang tawagan. Alibis, can somebody tell me who and where is the main distributor ng Neo here in the Philippines. Doon na ako magrereklamo. I’m not angry, got frustrated lang. Thanks (^o^)
Hi guys,
I can see problems here, clearly enough. . .
I’m from Baguio, and never had experience on Tech Support (wala ata dito eh, dunno)
but, all i can say, i have a NEO VIVID series, black chrome finsh, Vist Basic ung OS, 1GB specs, hehe, its been a thrill ride for me though
dunno with you guys, i keep my notebook clean and cool (xempre Baguio, duh!), and i bought a laptop cooler, (Php 1500, decent, very decent, sturdy base, double fan, swivel ase, haha, u name it), and im using it as a desktop replacement, 3 months on the go, and im sure its safe to say it will last with me for a while, a LOT of “whiles” to come,
Dudes! update nyo kasi lagi drivers and software nyo, and buy a mouse, decent conections, extended USB ports, a brush and a lot of wiping tools and fluids, screen guard, dust guard, just buy THE HECK, haha, yah, THE heck
dont rely too much on the laptop itself, YES is cheap! hell yeah, got it at Php30000, but DO YOUR PART, research on laptop maintenance, coz if its cheap, its a cry baby. . .
and yah, tip ko: when plugged, remove battery (charged na dapat), it keeps your battery life at optimum level, 7 years if im not mistaken
though, i expect a lt to be angry at this inconsistenet post, sa mga EMPRIVA OWNERS, your out of luck, trust me, you are, buy a MAC (sabi nila un ah), kasi experimental stage ang batch production nyan, and the early series of
endura,
SA MGA BIBILI NG CHEAP NEO! BUY VIVID, I ASSURE ITS PERFORMANCE, hugas lang ng kamay bago gamit
=p, yah i know, i suck bigtime, though i already had 4 cups of beer. . .
One year when it was bought our neolaptap, but unffortunately the battery pack bagged down, this type of battery of neo is guaranted to last long not same with other computers? do you have branch here in davao City where be repair or i can buy battery.
I sold my NEO Empriva 572 SVBx.
i’m planning to buy Neo tablet T2100. I’ve read that most complaints are from Neo Empriva and early models, is this the same? Or is Dude who drank 4 cups of beer could be right about being an experimental stage on the first batches. I dont know, probably i’m just looking for a silver lining here. I really like the computer a lot. Please email me before i miss out the chance to own one or regret my purchase. Thanks a lot!
one more thing. DVD drive…
if it doesn’t work, try removing and putting it back. It worked for me
Good thing i visited this site.My girlfriend recently bought a neo v2121,she needs it for her new work, enabling her to do home works. The first thing that i observed was it really heats up a lot,so coolers will be very helpful….(Buti nlng andito kme sa bundok, passive cooling..hekhekhek:)Thank you for your posts, it have given me an idea to advice her to observe the performance of the neo v2121.
Good thing it has a 1 year warranty, we can still check for better laptops to swap it just in case it will show any signs of malfunctioning and super-imposed substandards:)hehehe
Comments are really helpfull:)
P.S. the costumers is always right!!!! it is just to post negative as to positive comments because thru this you are indirectly helping other consumers:)
choice mo if neo laptop pa din ang gusto mo. but for me, di ko na risk yung money ko, mura nga, kaso after mo ma purchase lagi ka ng mapapamura.. the same nung kaso sa akin. ayun after 3 days ko mabili neo basic ko pinapalitan ko na agad kasi wala pang 1 hour lo batt na… the risk lang ay nung palitan ko na ng ibang brand di na ko nakatawad sa tamng presyo ng asus ko ngayon, because di nila binigay yung tamang price, so i yung asus eeepc 1000h ko nag worth ng 29,900 instead na 25k lang…
kaya if i were you be wise na lng… buy ka na ng branded… dont take risk
if you’re looking for help regarding Neo laptops, this is not the place to find it. look somewhere else. to the owner of this thread (or site, whatever), thanks for deleting my positive and could’ve-been-helpful comment (fuckin idiot, i took time to compose that asshole). Thanks neo for still serving me well after all these years…
kishie, don’t get me wrong. i respect your complaints. what really pissed me off was the fact that my comment was deleted. i put some love in what iv’e shared. baka di mo nabasa. and my comment was positive… looks like all positive comments aren’t welcome here.
as for your battery kishie, it’s cheap so don’t expect too much from it. complaining won’t do you any good. if something like that bothers me, id research. find a better replacement if there’s one available. or just get myself spare crappy batteries. or plug the power supply as much as possible and use battery only outdoors. my ipod died right after warranty expired. and it’s damn expensive and all it needs to do is play videos and music. my brother’s macbook crashed in less than a year’s time. basically, it doesn’t matter… these things aren’t perfect.
complain if it’s cheap. complain if it’s expensive. it’s all relative. everybody, think. do you want solutions, or more problems? for those who can’t afford, Neo offers a solution. for those who can afford, then you shouldn’t have any problems right? if you got crap, blame yourself. it is you who decided to buy. right? i don’t have batteries, i use an AC adaptor. it’s alright with me. it would appear right now that i’m the only lucky neo user in this thread but, sorry, no. it just so happened that positive comments get deleted here. that’s all i’m saying. why am i wasting my time here? ive got better things to do. take care of your own problems. i’m not part of your war… i believe the blogger’s name is ELY? sound off brada!
Spoon, your comment was not deleted. It was featured on the front page of this site, as an article of its own. 3 Days ago.

I wish to buy the latest model of Neo laptops worth 23T,but when I read all of the posted comments.I think I would prefer to buy desktop computers instead.I believe that most laptops heat so fast due to the battery installed to the unit and due to the hot weather here in Manila.I would not compromise my hard earned money for things that won’t last.My motto is “better to buy branded items(original) rather than take the risks of buying cheaper items that you will regret later”.
hey spoon, di mo din gets ang complaint ko… 1 day old pa lang ang bagong laptop ko… bibili agad ako ng bagong bateRry? di ba dapat pag bago laptop bago baterry… okey ka lang… hindi second hand ang binili kong laptop kundi brandnew… so expect ko good lahat… CHIANA KASI kaya matakot na kayo sa china made…..
I bought neo empriva 4 months ago…Grabe ang dali nacra nun dvd-r nya just for a week, then Neo replaced it. For over a month un battery nya ng-lowbat agad…So Neo told me they would replaced it, of course it’s still under warranty. Hay, Lord!! 1 month before nla nareplaced un battery. Taz when I get pa my unit puro gasgas na…so in the end I decide it to sell it and thank God nbenta na xa pero shempre I am very dissapointed with Neo. Kya those who want Neo Laptop think 100x…D mganda ang quality, you will see it, at there Service center in Megamall… ang dame tlaga nag-cocomplain.
well, on my experience, neo was not that bad, lagpas 3yrs na laptop ko, RAM memory lang upgrade ko, still ok pa rin sya.. for the past 3yrs, almost everyday ko pa sya ginamagit, computer and net freak kasi ako.. hehe.. and now, nag work na ako, ginagamit ko pa rin sya, pero now, yung battery and dvd drive ko, mejo nag fade na… pero overall, ok neo sakin.. ang pangit nga lang like you said is yung tech support nila, i can say GAHAMAN talaga, gusto kumita, yung RAM memory ko, ako na lang nagupgrade non, buy ko sya for 1.7K, 1 GIG or memory, kasi nung nagtanong ako sa tech support nila sa Mega Mall, 4k sinisingil sakin, laki difference diba? eh parang tape lang naman yon na sinasalpak sa likod… well, hassle talaga pagkalikot ng laptops and desktops, lalo na for girls and dun sa untrained for that kind of stuff, pero maganda din if we have a little background in this kind of things, parang practical na din…
TIP: before you plan to something which involves buying, upgrading or swapping of techi things, do a little research on Google, just ask Mr. Google and he will always have an answer.. hehe.. works for me..
and a side note, most neo laptops have batteries that last for 2 to 3hrs with 100% cpu running, depende sa gamit… i don’t know about neo’s corporate laptops, pero most of their laptops, ganun talaga.. if you want laptops for traveling, and battery lasts long, try to buy laptops which are small and compact, smaller screens means longer power.. laptops are designed for simple basic routines, desktop on the other hand are designed for endurance routines like gaming..
hey spoon and people out there…
i agree all of you people, nothing is perfect what matters is our attitude towards it.
i respect all your opinions because i believe everybody has the right to express his/her ideas.
i admire you guys for being true and honest with your feelings! i also admire you spoon for being so innovative.
i also have an experience with neo which i would like to share, yes its true for me, that neo is quite poor in performance wise but very economical in its cost. i been using my laptop for almost two years and only now i experienced a problem. the keyboard’s key for ?/ and shift keys wont function anymore.
my problem is, there is no neo service center in my present address and shop that sells neo laptop parts. i tried to call their customer support hotline but sad to say nobody s answering the phone
if you guys have any idea on a website where i can buy neo keyboard for model M3S….pls do share…
i am also open for a well functioning second hand neo M3S keyboard..
you can reach me with this number 09189142344 or email me at diorygiemt@yahoo.com
guys thanks in advance…
God bless!!!
Hmmm, for those who’ve been saying that people who purchase Neo have no right to complain and are stupid for complaining, well…shame on you then..it is actually an obligation for a company to produce products that are not of low quality..selling a cheap product doesn’t give the company the right or the excuse to have sucky customer service or defective hardware..
it has come to my attention though, that most problems are that the batteries drain and like, die after a few minutes..and some hardware don’t work properly and there are frequent system hang-ups..well..i’ve never owned a neo laptop (and probably wont after reading this), but i think maybe, well sometimes there’s a problem with the care or use of the product..
like well, for example, the batteries draining after like only months after purchase..one cause for that is well, not properly charging the laptop..charging even before the batteries run low, or pulling out the charger even before the batteries are full can cause your battery’s life to run low.
and the hardware not working properly?(like speakers not working, image distorts once in a while, no internet access) my guess is that some drivers weren’t installed properly or weren’t installed at all..i don’t know about xp but vista (im hoping your vista is original ^^) has this feature in its update which allows you to download missing drivers from your laptop..but you can also just google your laptop’s drivers and download ‘em.
and about the system hanging or restarting..you’ve probably strained your RAM..its like installing vista onto a 512mb RAM laptop..or you probably have a lot of applications running and the system, trying to protect itself from further damage, restarts..check your taskbar..if it has a lot of icons there, it means you’re running a lot of programs in the background, or you just have a lot of startup programs..if you have tuneup utilities, disable those you dont need, or if you don’t just run msconfig to disable them..
or your computer probably has a virus or malware infecting it, causing your laptop to crash or something..there are a lot of possible causes to your problems..
but as to the part where neo having a lot of factory defects or the like, well, neo has the obligation to correct them..and if they’re offering customer service, they should serve their customers..coz in the long run, people will know better and will stop buying from them..
*sigh*
hi i’m planning to buy a Neo T2100 tablet.. any suggestions?? I’ve read most of the comments here and it looks like most of you are having problems with your Neo laptops.. Even the neo website doesn’t work and someone told me that neo laptops are made here in the phillipines that’s why it’s quality is poor..
well i have this neo laptop that PLDT DSL was able to foist on my wife as a “hulugan” unit at a cheap price at the same time we got our DSL line.
Yep!!! everything about unit sucks big time.
Evrything about tech support from neo sucks big time!!!
and i have been spreading the word.
I just use the unit as a training presentation device. You know, it sits there in front of the training room… linked to a projector. People inserts usb devices to load powerpoint slides…They click on the mouse…
The neo finds it difficult to connect to the projectors… the USB devices… the printers…it hangs several times a day. and then boots up ever so slowly each time. But it heats up ever so fast. After every presentation. i pick the unit up, (contemplates flinging it against the wall…) then brings it in front of the aircon unit to cool it down. ( i also bring my head in front of the aircon vent to cool it down.)
Hahahaha… that’s what i am doing now flaming this stupid device that i own to vent my disattisfaction and cool down my head .
YEAH. NEO LAPTOP SUCKS.
i bout it for around 40K and it’s not even worth a cent!
i had a problem with my CD ROM Drive, under warranty, so i gave it to them for check up.. then suddenly they told me that i have to pay another 20K for the motherboard and the keyboard doesn’t work anymore! i checked it out myself and there is nothing wrong with the keyboard, nor is there a problem with my motherboard!
Lesson: NEVER EVER BUY A NEO LAPTOP AGAIN!
i bought mine august 08.
problems:
1. cant register for warranty…dunno why.
2. cant use bigger monitors…usb ports only
otherwise,i am satisfied.
sana wag dumating panahong gaya ng sa inyo.wish the management would do something about the complaints.dami pa naman nagagandahan s notebook ko kz maliit but efficient enough for me.
ow gosh.. Lucky me.. im planning to Buy a Neo vivid series 2121..but after i saw this post..it completely changed my mind…woooo
thnxx
i finally brought my neo laptop to their mega mall customer dis-service. it started showing problem with the monitor a few days after i bought it. unfortuntely i use it everyday for my work (no work, no pay) but 3 months later the problem had become so bad ala na ako choice.
i was told factory defect daw yung video cable or something like that. kaso di naman masabi kung kelan pwede makuha. basta minimum of 7 working days. so pwede rin abutin ng 7 years.
i admit i bought neo because cheap sya. pero hindi porke cheap eh automatically inferior na (in the same way na di dahil mahal ay high quality)
so far i lost P7,000 dahil seven days na ako wala trabaho. kung abutin ito ng 2 weeks bale P14,000 na mawawala sa akin. that’s more than the “savings” i got from buying the cheap neo laptop.
me, so far i got no probs with my neo empriva 540nvp2i which i bought last july 21, 2008, it serves me well. yes the battery drains immediately, but i got no problem with that relative to my kind of use (i always work plugged in)the only thing that bothers me is the bison cam, nb pro (built in web camera), whenever i use open it as standard feature on my laptop, it works perfectly but the moment i apply/use it on yahoo messenger my image is upside down. tried every adjustments available on the controls and had the driver installed and reinstalled, still it does not resolve the issue. is there anyone here knows how to fix this? pls. help.
God is always good to guide me to chose the right decision. Today I incedentally browse this site and saw you guys with these comments, it was a releif for me. I preferred buying the Dell brand nlang this xmas for my wife. Salamat po sa inyong lahat.
sir i have new neo laptop, and the lcd was broke. binalik ko sa pinagbilhan ko at ang sabi ay dalhin ko raw sa neo outlet sa manila, and he dont have your addreesed, sir san ba add nyo at dalhin ko nalang para maparepaire sayang naman wala pang 1 month. thanks feed back nalang sa add ko
NEO? I have no idea…I was just browsing around cuz I am planning to buy a laptop…I saw this NEO vivid in SM Baguio, I think its so cool with its glossy finish…Anyways, with all those complains, I don’t think I’m picking NEO…Anybody who has ACER laptop? or HP?
Friends.. my officemate owns a neo GL31. She acquired it 2 years ago and it still working and no complaints from her regarding its’ performance. There are some earlier neo models that bears perfect quality. As I can see on your comments, latest neo models has the bad quality. Mabuhay po kayo.
its been 7 working days today and the neo idiots have not yet replaced the defective cable on my 3 month old neo basic B2161. sabi ng isang amuyong sa mega mall di pa raw nadating yung spare part from taiwan. taiwan? inaabot ng more than 7 days ang delivery ng video cable? di ba tanaw from aparri ang taiwan? eh yung ngang package from the us pwede ma-deliver overnight. bakit sa taiwan eh kulang pa ang 7 working days?
i’ve owned a neo for 2 years now, and i’ve had no problems except for the battery life… also, from what i’ve observed from all the laptops available in the phil, yung bagong neo éLAN lang ang may 9600m gs na vid card… all of the others have either 9500m gs or lower. unless may lalabas na lappies na may matinong vidcards sa pinas, i’d still go for a neo.
..we are planning to purchase a neo b2188 this month..until i happen to visit this page..:c when i study all the laptops my brother and i had seen so far..i thought this unit was the perfect choice..the specs are really something..it cost 35999..i really thought its the best i could have regarding my lappy expectations(specs) and the budget we got..but hey..am i disappointed or what?! is any1 there who had avail NEO basic B2188?? any feedbacks??:p tnxz..
and to ol lappy users (actually for every1 including desktops users): it is true that the state of laptops depends a lot on how it is used and taking care of..not only physically..users must know how to use their sofwares installed properly and try to stay away from unknown sites..for these could damage your computer.. not unless the fault is really in the quality and unsustainability of the product..that is not good..although there are remedies..
well anyway gudluck to ol the concerned neos and gudlak to me..^^
well.. on my case, i bought my 1st laptop last april 2005 and it’s a neo laptop! well, surprisingly it still functions until now but the down side of that are 1st, the LCD has lines; 2nd, some of the keys of the keyboard are not functioning anymore (so i had to use an external keyboard because the repair of the keys costs P7k up); and 3rd, the DC input is loose and that i had to turn the socket of the charger to make it work. Plus, the original charger was damaged about after a year and a half of use. since it is still functioning upto this day, i just gave it to my lil sister to play games because well i think that’s the only function of a neo laptop so i decided to buy a new one and i chose a macbook and until this day i don’t regret buying it. it’s worth it because aside from great package, their technical support was really good and another thing is that i never had a virus in it and that i will never pass a virus to my friends using a windows pc/laptop. So if i were you guys, choose what you think is the best. Even if it is a little bit expensive, think of the long-term effect and benefits. Cost vs. benefit! Also, if you are really on a tight budget, there are cheaper laptops available in the market but make sure that what you are buying is tested and proven to be a great brand i.e. compaq, hp, lenovo/ibm and msi too!
I’ve encountered two Neos, one belonging to my Mom and another one a friend’s. They both have the same problem in less than a year. LCD. The screen garbles and becomes completely unusable. Do not be tempted by the very cheap price. It’s not worth the disappointment and hassle.
i hav neo vivid purchased last aug 15 and ncra un lcd lat nov 9 both ds year. my laptop is 2 mos old goin to 3.i h8 neo rep told me that the lcd costs 16K..dey hav a bulshit product!..
I bought my Neo laptop about a year ago and it still works well. The only thing that I don’t like about it is that unlike more popular brands like Lenovo or HP, it doesn’t have a control for fan sound level. Good thing Vista (the OS that came with it) seems to automatically lower the fan speed when not needed (when in an airconditioned room for example).
I’d say that I got what I paid for. And it’s all worth it. It’s around 25% cheaper than other brands with the same specs. And for the same price, it has significantly higher specs. It works well. No hardware issues, whatsoever.
Unlike popular brands it came with Windows Vista OEM installer (which quite frankly we should be entitled to have even though it’s OEM), driver dvds for both XP and Vista (32-bit and 64-bit). With other brands you still have to request (sometimes online) for your OS installer dvd and though free, you end up paying for shipping and handling. In this regard, Neo is more attuned to the Philippine situation where people who buy laptops don’t necessarily have a personal internet subscription (I know a lot of people, co-workers and friends who are in this situation).
We never seemed to have issues with “cloned” or “unbranded” desktops before. Why all of a sudden we seem to favor “branded” ones when it comes to laptop? My old “clone” desktop (bought in 2001) never once had to be serviced by tech support. The same is true with my Neo laptop.
For every fancy feature of “branded” laptops you’re actually paying more. If they are important to you then pay for it and buy the more popular ones. If not then buy cheap and take good care of it.
I believe it all boils down to usage and operating conditions. I know a tech support guy who works for a large multinational company who issues different brand laptops to different members of management, and at that time that I asked, the laptop brand that gave them the least headache was Fujitsu (it’s not the popular brands like HP, Dell, IBM, Toshiba, or Acer). But even then, to quote my tech support friend, “You drop them and they’ll break regardless of brand.”
I bought my NeoBasic B2140N last June and so far the unit has been working fine. I bought a cooling mat to addressed the heat issue. But as for the battery, well, it is now DEAD!!!
I almost always use it using an ac adapter so I really have no qualms about the battery going dead. The thing is, I’m still within the 6 months warranty given for the battery, so maybe I can get it repaired/replaced soon.
I only bought a Neo by the way because it is cheap while offering some decent specs. I can see the pros and cons of buying cheap products, but the bottom-line is: each product is designed and expected to perform the way it is supposed to do. So, for as long as the complain is legitimate, it’s quite rude and downright stupidity for anybody to say that one is a fool for buying a cheap product and expecting it work. If they don’t, then, we have all the right to complain about it. Right? So why make a big deal about people complaining? It’s their right!!!
obviously a lot of people here think that consumer rights apply only to those who paid a lot of money for something. actually yung argument “na gusto mo maka mura kaya pasensya ka” is valid only under the following conditions:
1. you knowingly bought a fake product kasi gusto mo maka mura
2. you bought a second hand product kasi gusto mo makamura pero di mo check kung ayus yung binili mo before you bought it
3. you bought an inexpensive product (like the neobasic b214on)kasi gusto mo maka mura then you complain that the product is not comparable to hi-end laptops that cost 3x as much
but this in not true in my case or in the cases of many consumers here who bought neo products. which is why we have every right to complain.
yung neo b2140n ko na may factory defect naayos after 9 working days but now nag loloko na naman. i also bought it last june and under warranty pa.
but based on my experience di ko na ibabalik sa neo. pagod lang at bwisit ang aabutin ko. hayaan ko na masira kahit pa less than a year ko lang sya magamit.i am saving up for a more reliable brand. but i have made it my mission in life to discourage any one from buying neo products. dun na lang ako babawi.
hi to all! I would like just to ask if there is anyone here who had already bought the latest laptop from neo elan 3100 ata ung model nya. Any problems encountered?? Mabilis ba mag init ung laptop while playing games? I really find neo laptop very affordable just imagine the specs centrino2 na 512 dedicated VGA pa. Any comments will be appreciated. Thanks po…
i got a NEO laptop that i bought last 2006. For the past 2 yrs i got no problem using it..but recently i just happen to have one..during startup my laptop will freeze due to System Bus Error..can anyone help me with this?
gheez. buti nalang nagbasa ako… i am about to buy a Neo v2121 pa naman.. cute kse.. pero with all these negative comments about the brand, di nalang siguro. *sigh.
no problem with my neo laptop. good and running for 3 years now. my only problem is i lost the driver cd that came with the package. couldn’t find the driver set on the net. any idea where to get it? can a neo service center replace my lost cd? thanks
Why do you still keep buying neo’s yeah their affordable but they lack the performance and stability… If i were you go for one of these laptop brands:
1. TOSHIBA
2. HP/COMPAQ
3. DELL
I’m sure you won’t regret it….
i have a friend who owns a NEO Empriva just like mine, a line appeared on his lcd monitor, we brought it to megamall, after diagnosing it and determined that it was not due to carelessness they had us leave the unit to them to replace the monitor and in a week time we got it back with the new lcd. maybe some of those who are postings are not really telling the whole story. some of the stories here are somewhat funny and some are outight ridiculous and stupid. bought a laptop to play games with? and complain when it breaksdown? they should have bought gameboy or ps or psp or desk top or just buy a ball go outside and play outdoors itll be good for them.
some says theirs hangs up well its not the laptop its the user, its in the files they keep on accumulating there, the viruses and worms that creeped in because they never care to install a good antivirus sw, or just like a driver who only care to drive and never care for the maintenance of the car, never checks the water and when the engine overheats they rant and whine.buyers/consumers also have the responsibility to care for what they have bought, read the manuals before using as they said, even in buying a top of the line unit, they also say take good care to serve you well. nuff said, thats my two cents take it or leave it no need to respond.thank you.
sige antay antay ka lang.
what a nice comment from tibbar..yah dude ur right..pro s dami ng bad comments against NEO brand eh para bagang nanghinayang aq nabili q yung laptop q.sometimes i even think na how many lifespan that my laptop only have..wel svi nga ni kuya nsa pagiingat m n lng yan..whatever u input produced the same output..gudluck s bestfriend qong neo sna magtgal p tyu ^^
@ gail
ha ha ha. that is such a funny comment.
pero mas nakakatawa sana kung matagal tagal ang hintay ko bago nagloko yung neo ko at hindi less than a week
last monday being a holiday i was at the staffhouse of the company i was temporarily working on at the moment, since theres no tv or radio, or anything to while away the whole holiday, i decided to play music in my neo empriva laptop. i have a external hard disc where i store my files so that the laptop is not so burdened, it was 9am, i kept it playing till early evening,as i remember those posts here about hot keyboard or heating i constantly tried to feel the keyboard for heat, there was the normal temperature not excessive/ overheating. then in the late hours i watched a stored dvd movie on it, after about 30 minutes of watching there was blackout in that place but i still let the laptop continue playing, anyways the maintenance manual says that i have to fully discharge the battery periodically (”i suspect that some of you have just read that for the first time” that its part of how to take good care of the battery.)i had already finished the two hour movie yet still the battery was not fully discharged. i had to kept it turned on to drain the batt when i went to sleep… it was already 10 past 2 am… thats 17hrs, no overheating, battery? more than 1 and a half hours. thats my neo empriva 540nvp2i, model M54N product code m541n serial # NKM541NC7J00982.
tnx sa mga comment nyo friends, buy sana this december neo laptops kc may free cannon printer kaso lng nabasa ko ung panget bout d2 sa neo laptop, sorry n lng d nko bibili… hehehe tnx
I just bought a neo basic B2140N from a friend of mine. Last MAY nya lang binili yung unit and so far ok naman. pinahiram nya kasi sa akin for three months yung laptop before sya nag decide na ipagbili skin….i just hope it will last long, considering with all of your comments ;)….
To all those people that are looking forward to purchasing a laptop, please pick a brand other than Neo. Their products may come promising at first, and a few people will testify to how their neo laptops withstood through out the years of use, but believe me, your better off with a laptop that costs more than neo laptops.
Last year my father gave me money to buy a laptop, it was his birthday present for me. I was excited and although I do possess a little know how on hardware specifications and knowing what type of laptop I want, I still invited my friends to help me pick out the right laptop. My Best friend owns an Acer Aspire laptop and he’s been using it for quite sometime then and he advised me into considering an Acer laptop as well. Now Acer hardware or any other hardware with very well known name for that matter costs a lot and with me stuck on the budget I was given, was forced to look for more options. Then I came along a Neo Shop, I was suprised to find that their laptop was 11k cheaper than Acer’s with the same specification. I was then sweet talked on how their laptop has this and has that (vista really looked good that time). All of my friends rejected the laptop telling me that they’ve never heard of Neo before (and how it’s made in China, actually taiwan) now I had to make up my mind. It’s either I don’t buy it, my dad would probably change his mind about the laptop then, or Buy it and hope that proper use and maintainance could prove my friend wrong. I admit, that was a stupid decision, but who would’ve known. So right after I got home, I handled the newly bought laptop very very carefully, even clearing out the whole study desk just for my new laptop, after booting it up and leaving it on for a moment to gaze at my new hardware, IT FREEZES, now that’s just my luck, I thought it’s like a first time operation issue, but just as I was about to explore Windows Vista, It freezes again, now that really indicated something was wrong. Yes I know it’s under warranty, but this is the problem, I’m no where near Manila, so getting back is going to take sometime. So I started troubleshooting, process of elimination. Then I came to a conclusion, everytime the laptop is plugged in, it crashes after booting OS, okay so let’s use it on battery power, so that’s how it went. Charging, Using, Fully discharge then Charge to full again. It’s hard working with the laptop when you know your under a time limit of the battery. Moment arrive, school is on sembreak, I got to their service center in Megamall and had the laptop checked, I stated the problem to one of the techies who has no idea on what could have caused the routine freeze up. I was advised to leave it there for 2 to 3 days so they can work on it. Alright so I went home, leaving the laptop for 3 days ain’t a problem. Day came for me to pick up the laptop, I got there, was presented with my hardware, and yes okay there’s no memory problem (yeah I’ve checked with the memory tool so I know), the hard disk is fing ( uhm Duhh) and was told this “Okay na po sir” hmm, so I took their word for it and it was getting late so I had to catch a bus home. Now when I got home and plugged it in, the problem still persists, and much worst, the behavior is much more eratic, a freeze on AC power, a momentary lag on Battery. Now that’s really convenient of them to really be thorough cause when I checked the air vent on the side, I expected it to be clean with signs that they did look inside and did what they could. I had enough of their incompetent service, from useless techsupport, to their customer support and their non-systematic way of organization. they must have really ripped off a lot of people cause during the time I brought my laptop in for servicing, there was like some odd 5 people waiting near the service window and another 8 waiting in line. Now, I have again tried to troubleshoot the laptop and now i do know the problem, but the thing is, even though I’d like to crack it open and start pulling PCBs apart, I don’t want to void warranty. (Funny eh, since the warranty is kinda useless). Now with that story just out of my system, please… Do yourself a favor, and just save up for a costly but surely reliable laptop brand.
To all the Tech Guys there at Neo, and even to Neo Management, staff, or whatever you are in Neo, I don’t aim to throw grudges here or anything, I’m just one of your customers who’s unsatisfied in your product and services.
@ kershey
you have my sympathies. i wish i knew you before you bought your neo because i could have told you the kind of crappy products and after sales support that neo dumps on uninformed consumers. i know because i am one of them.
i cannot say this enough to all of you people reading this thinking of buying a neo product: YOU ARE SETTING YOURSELF UP FOR MEGA DISAPPOINTMENT AND STOMACH-DISSOLVING FRUSTRATION. YUNG MATITIPID NYO SA NEO IS NOT WORTH IT. IN MY CASE THE P1Ok NA NASA SAVE KO NAWALA DIN FROM LOST PRODUCTIVITY WHILE MY FACTORY DEFECTIVE NEO WAS BEING FIXED. IN THE END KAYO ANG TALO KASI DI NAMAN I-REFUND NG NEO ANG PERA NYO AT DI NYO MABEBENTA NEO NYO NG MORE THAN HALF THE ORIGINAL PRICE.
Wow there are many people that against the NEO brand.. But actually here at our place there are many neo Laptop users……. But little do they know that NEO is a deffective laptop brand….. If I were them I would go with the following:
TOSHIBA
HP/COMPAQ
DELL
Nothing More Nothing Less….
I already have 3 Neo Laptops, the oldest i bought in 2006. burned 200 dvds straight on it and wrecked the drive. neo replaced it. i gave this to my wife. i just bought an xplore
for my son this christmas.
the one im using now has all sorts of programs for my line of work adobe cs3 master suite et al. i used it for two commercials you see on tv right now.
so far either ive been lucky or ive been using it right or both. i dont use it to try new programs out… ive got a desktop for this purpose. im very careful with network and disk usage. and ive never had to visit neo care apart from my dvd issue.
but i admit the only reason why i like neo is the price. kinda like buying a really old benz…. you know you might be getting a lemon, but if you know how to use and maintain correctly you might just get a really good deal.
i’ve been using a neo laptop (old model) for about 2 years na. yep, i agree dun sa nagsasabi na mabilis uminit (kaya lagi akong gumagamit ng electric fan hehehe) tska maikli ang batt life (bet.
I bought a Neo laptop last May of 2007 and to tell you its not that cheap…I spent 36k. The laptop works well till now. I always use it everyday for at least more than 10 hours straight…on weekends, almost 16 hours..I must admit i only use it for surfing the net and chatting since i also have pc at home. The only problem i encountered was that, it heats up and the battery life is so short..it last only for 30 mins now….
hi everybody! I am about to buy a neo vivid2121. i’ve already recommend this brand to my boss. But i was shocked about the negative comments about the neo products posted on this blog. But do you thinks guys that all of NEO laptops are in low quality products? How about the NEO vivid2121? does anyone have already got trouble with VIVID2121? Please help me because i’m going to buy it on monday.
@Rufon…….Just look for other brands.
@rufon
i think it has been established that the quality of neo products is very spotty. if you’re lucky you might get a good, trouble-free unit.
if you’re unlucky (like so many of us) you could end up with a crappy unit and then you have to deal with neo’s really crappy after sales service.
so you can buy another brand from a company is more consistent with their quality control or consult mo muna horoscope mo bago ka bili ng neo :=)
hello guys…. i heard enough. pero ask lng ako saan pede download drivers sa board nito ang hirap hanapin… sa mindanao kac ako.. ty i need it asap…
maderpak, sabe na wrong choice ang pagbili ko nitong laptop ko. medyu tanga2 ko,bili ko sa laptop ko na empriva540nvb 34 kiaw ata pota ang mahal nga considering na mga presyo ngaun. peru nun kasi 1 gig of ram 120g of hd sounds cheap for 30k considering ung mga ibang brands na same specs would go for as much as 40. july ko binili ko tong laptop ko. ok pa naman, ung nga lang potang battery yan 30 minutes lang, drained na. tas mga 10 mins ung start up. ampfff. sana pala toshiba na lang binili ko. un pa, madalas na rin ngfifreeze ung laptop ko. 1 year ata ung warranty nito, if any signs of sira sana mabalik ko pa at mapalitan ng ibang unit. sana nabasa ko to 6 months ago.
@kenneth
nagloko ang neo laptop ko due to a factory defective video cable at pina service ko after 4 months. sabi ko di ba dapat palitan ng bagong unit. di daw nila ginagawa yung mag palit ng defective unit kahit under warranty pa. cable lang daw papalitan.
I buy my NEO laptop last December because of very cheap price, but i found out, they’re so many problems……maybe next time, just be careful if your planning to buy a NEO laptop…..be practical…i will not do it again…i will not buy NEO Brand anymore………..:-(
well guys i have read several comments (negative..heheh)
i’m using neo endura gl31 model purchased august 2006 @ pc corner gilmore branch - dual core, 80gb, 1gb memory..
sigura nga tsambahan lang ang pagbili, so far ok naman performance ng laptop ko, except mabilis nga maginit ung sa exhaust nya and medyo mabilis madrain yung battery (common naman sa mga laptop un eh) pero ok na kapag may nakatutuk na fan kahit mahina lng ung ikot..heheh im planning to buy a laptop cooler for this problem @ openpinoy.com..i even use my laptop to download movies w/c i left it on overnight
to download using dsl 386kbps.
w/ windows xp os ok nman ung run ng system. last week i upgrade to vista ok din, i like the graphics but i’m planning to go back to my previous os (win xp) coz vista got several technical issues, the built-in audio, camera & cardreader w/ laptop are not supported w/ vista.
thats my comment w/ neo — jez
@JRufon,
have you read all the comments or yung negatives lang?
@eric,
established? pano? how was it established? my gash, count all the comments, negative or positive, do you think thats enough numbers to represent all NEO laptops bought and being used out there? go back to sleep and dont forget to take your medicine, stop playing with your fathers computer.
oh yeah…. and my m54g is used 24/7, even more than my desktop… with periodical restarts and the occasional outside use, (which drains the battery) then i would have to restart.
it has downloaded more than a million pesos worth of shared software and movies (pirated na kung pirated)through torrents. and has not failed me since.
i will buy another neo sometime this summer.
as for the heating issue everybody’s been pointing to… yung mac ko sa office kasing init din… have you tried the mac air? masmainit pa ata kesa sa ibang brand… msi, ibm, umiinit din. the only laptop i havent seen heat up the way others do is the sony vaio….
a little luck and proper usage lang siguro
@tibbar
i will take my medicine and go to sleep and i will stop playing with my father’s computer as soon as you tell your bosses at neo that their products suck and their after sales service stinks even worse
well i olready bought my new neo laptops, the batery is very fast to drain….. at ang tulin mag init……
my gf and i bought a neo laptop vivid series for 37-37k last dec 2007- jan 2008. problems with my laptop with my first months is that it always has system errors (blue screen then restarts), anyway it doesn’t happen anymore. Premium logic from sm north cyberzone says it’s because of the processes that i use.
then our warranty has already ended then something happened at my gf’s laptop: her mouse pad stopped.
She’ll bring her laptop tomorrow, and maybe she have to shout (after telling bout this comment page and sa dami ng gagawin nya), baka mamaya mahal parepair sa sira ng laptop mouse. Physically mas maingat pa siya sa akin on handling laptop. Note that around two months ago her battery drained.
And mas mabagal ang processes ng laptop nya though same lang ang laptop namin.
my comment would be NEVER BUY NEO. maybe if i have money ill buy a MAC.
Hi tibbar, if your cam is still upside down in yahoo, ask tech support for the latest drivers. They know about the problem and can give you them straight away. Worked a charm.
I must say, I am pleased with my Neo, same as yours. Battery has no problems, but maybe that is because I use it a lot. Only issue I have noticed is that the screen changes resolution sometimes and then flicks back. Annouying but no real issue so far.
This site really declaring that most filipinos are morons and have lots of colonial mentallity!!!!
Pasalamat kayo meron tayong sariling brand.
For feedback or hatemail you can reach me at rai2wise@yahoo.com
Oh God! actually i was about to buy a neo notebook. this coming weekend… and. yey for me, i did a little research.. yes it is cheap… very cheap.. i was surprised how low the prices are… yun pala di durable… now im 100% sure that i will not buy a neo… haay… thank you lord.. at di mapupunta sa wala ang ipon ko… hahaha!
@ryan lagera
@ ryan lagera
I will admit that I am anti-neo and in my previous posts I said that I have made it my mission in life to discourage people from buying neo products. Why? My sentiment is based on my horrific experience with the company and their product. It is an experience I don’t want anybody to go through (well, except you, lol!)
I bought a brand new neo laptop with a factory defective video cable that affected my work. It took the company 9 working days to fix (a total of 13 days counting the two weekends) when every computer technician I consulted (six technicians all in all) told me that it only takes several minutes to replace the factory defective cable.
I am a freelance writer and my laptop is an integral part of my livelihood I make an average of P1,000 a day and I work six days a week. If you do the math you’d know that I lost approximately P11,000 while neo service center people were taking their sweet time fixing my factory defective neo laptop.
In fairness to neo the video cable is holding just fine. But 2 months after the repair my neo laptop has failed to boot up on three occasions and I have this gut feeling that this problem is going to get worse and I will soon find myself at the mercy of neo technicians once again. After all, the problem with the factory-defective video cable started out the same way. The first few weeks I experienced insignificant screen distortion which eventually progressed to such a degree that the unit was no longer useable.
So there! That’s the root of my crusade. If somebody did the same thing to me when I was shopping around for a laptop I wouldn’t be here now.
(By the way yes I only use genuine software and yes I take very good care of my machine because I can’t afford to buy a new laptop every year. no games installed not even solitaire)
Whether people take my advice or not is up to them (for the record I have succeeded in convincing seven fellow writers shopping for a laptop to avoid neo products like the plague). But if people decide to buy a neo laptop anyway that is fine with me. It’s their money it’s their life.
I certainly won’t call them morons if they chose to purchase a neo product after all (but I will savor the chance to tell them “I told you so!†lol!)
So what’s your excuse for your rudeness? Why do you care so much if some of us tell as many people as we possibly can that neo sucks big time? What’s in it for you? Is it misplaced patriotism? Or do you just like the company so much you decided to take up the cudgels for them? For free? This is definitely one of those things that make you go hmmmmm…
If you want to salvage the reputation of your company, ridiculing consumers with bad experience with your company’s products/service is not going to do it. Tell your bosses that they need to implement stricter quality control and better after sales service. With the prices of laptops dropping every six months neo will no longer be able to compete on the basis of its price for long.
Unless it changes its business model, all laptops will be affordable – but neo will still be the “cheap†brand.
@ ryan ladera…
I think what’s wrong with people trying to be “nationalist” is their misplace notion of what nationalism is, and as result they end up lambasting others who are genuinely expressing the poor standard of certain products. There is no question that many Filipino companies produced good and high quality products and we should be proud of them. But to say that some of our countryman have “colonial mentality” just because they are pointing out what’s wrong with a particular product and why we should not patronize it is crazy. Do you mean to say that just because a product is made in the Philippines we have to patronize it even if it doesn’t work for us? There’s nothing wrong in pointing out what’s wrong with this or that product. Colonial mentality kamo? I have heard many Americans and Brits complaining and even cursing their own companies that are providing poor services and shabby products. Does that mean that they are unpatriotic or have some kind of “un-whatever kind of mentality”? Think and ponder bro. We are no longer in Middle Ages. We will never help our own industries to be at par with those of the rest of the world if we hold on to skewed concepts of what a “national pride” should be. The way to do it is let those companies that produce shabby products see their own big blunders and let them correct it. If they don’t do that, they don’t deserve our support. Money is hard to come by, and so people should get their money’s worth. Are you saying that people should shut up over a shabby product for the sake of a false sense of nationalism or national pride? Give us a break! That’s not moving forward. That’s DIGGING A GRAVE!
@eric
Not to defend anyone or Neo, but not all can write as good as a freelance writer such as yourself. If you take a look at all the posts not everyone who has ever bought a neo laptop is as dissatisfied as you are. And if you can read as good as you write, ryan has a point and his “rudeness” doesn’t really come from nowhere.
It is in forums such as this where eloquence can over-rule fact and logic. Here, the person who gets his point across faster and clearer can convince more to his side as opposed to a rude-tagalog-cursing post who barely gets his message across. Not everyone has this gift.
The validity of ryan’s post lies in the fact that because of our desire to compete with or at least match our western counterparts we forget who and where we are. Filipino tayo at nasa Pilipinas tayo, times are hard. To get a cheap laptop some sacrifices have to be made and subsequent adjustments rendered. Kelangan ng konting abilidad. We are slowly being affected by the US crisis and companies are being shut down.
No ones stopping you from getting your MAC or your branded toy. Because I dont think you have the ability and the know how to maximize your Neo. So go ahead buy whatever it is that would satisfy you. But take your 1k-a-day-self-righteous-anti-neo-crusade and shove it up your ass.
Yung buhay at ugali mo nakakahon: Pag may sugat aray, iyak, ganti. Pag may problema dalhin sa kalsada at magrally. You should’ve taken your time to learn a bit more on how laptops and os’s work instead of wasting your time ranting and crusading for a company to fall and leave people jobless in your success.
Got TV and radio commercials running on nationwide media all produced entirely on my NEO laptops. Plus, I hooked up my electric guitar to my neo so i can use it when i perform live with my band. Neo gave me access to much needed gear at a time when i couldnt afford the high prices of branded laptops. So me and my family are enjoying the earnings, not to mention the savings, generated from these neo’s while you go on your crusade. Best of luck to you. Cheers.
@john g
“neo gave me access to much needed gear at a time when i couldn’t afford the high prices of branded laptops.”
so what you’re saying is you switched to high priced branded laptops once you could afford them? why is that?
me? am not interested in getting a mac (no i dont have an iphone or an ipod, either) or an vaiao (i don’t even know how spell it) for the sake of getting an imported brand.
i just want a good laptop (kahit na made in pluto pa yan). and if my laptop breaks down i want the company that made that laptop to make an effort to take care of their customers instead of adding to the aggravation.
“you should’ve taken your time to learn a bit more on how laptops and os’s work instead of wasting your time ranting and crusading for a company to fall and leave people jobless in your success.”
my laptop unit had a factory defective part. they told me that when i went to the service center at mega mall (actually there was another guy with the same unit and the same problem) it was factory defective. i had nothing to do with that. it was broken before i even used it (although it took a while before the problem showed up). it was broken when i bought it. it was broken when neo shipped it to the store where i bought it.
kahit may phd pa ako on how to operae a laptop do you think that would made any difference? of course not.
but i will tell what could have made a big difference. the company knew that the first batch of the particular model that i bought had defective video cables and they did nothing but wait for people to show up at their doorstep and then made us wait 9 working days.
they could have asked their marketing people to account for all the defective units they sold. then they could have ordered all the replacement spare part ahead of time. then they could have assigned a person to prioritize fixing this particular problem.
then those of us affected by this problem wouldn’t have to wait 9 working days to get the unit fixed. neo had the chance to turn a problem into an opportunity for customer relations
if neo did that and i waited like only for an hour or even a day or two to get my unit fixed i would have been very impressed! and despite the fact that i got a defective unit i would still tell people to go buy a neo because they take care of their customers. well, they didn’t and they don’t. so why should i care for them?
their staff acted as if i was an idiot(kinda like the way you are treating me)who has never seen a laptop before or that i take the laptop in the shower with me or that i make sure i drop my laptop on the floor at least once a day.
basically they told me na magtiis ka, maghintay ka. you will get your unit when you get your unit. your downtime is not our problem.
“the validity of ryan’s post lies in the fact that because of our desire to compete with or at least match our western counterparts we forget who and where we are. filipino tayo at nasa pilipinas tayo, times are hard.â€
what does this man exactly? that we filipinos are not entitled to high quality products because we live in a third world country?
“to get a cheap laptop some sacrifices have to be made and subsequent adjustments rendered.â€
so basically you are saying that cheap laptops (whether its neo or whatever brand) have inherently inferior quality. that’s fine except when i was at the store and i asked the sales person if neo was a good, dependable product he said yes. and may be i was stupid for taking his word for it (and the copy on neo’s brochure and website) but if someone talked me out of buying a neo i wouldn’t be here now ranting and raving.
“but take your 1k-a-day-self-righteous-anti-neo-crusade and shove it up your ass.â€
excuse me? self-righteous? i have bills to pay (electricity, water, internet, etc) and i have medicines to buy (not just mine but also my mom’s) and the money that i use to pay for these things come from the money i earn as a writer. it is barely enough to make ends meet.
unlike you i don’t have “tv and radio commercials running on nationwide media all produced entirely on my neo laptops†if my neo laptop fails through no fault of mine i go hungry - that gives me the right to bitch don’t you think?
and i am gon a crusade because all my friends work for a pittance. none of them have “tv and radio commercials running on nationwide media all produced entirely on my neo laptops†they are counting every centavo they have and spending it on neo, in my opinion, is wasting their money.
okay fine i will admit my tactic is not constructive. but that’s because i’m angry. and i’m angry because i got the short end of the stick here. but if you experienced what i experienced i guarantee that you wouldn’t be wherever the hell you are telling those of us with legitimate issues with neo to shove our opinions up our asses.
“neo gave me access to much needed gear at a time when i couldn’t afford the high prices of branded laptops.â€
i’m happy for you. i really am and i understand why you and other people here are so fond of neo. but my experience is different from yours. now can you understand why i’m so pissed? is it okay to have a different take on neo?
i am selling this neo laptop. but i don’t want to sell it without informing potential buyers of the caveats. (don’t do unto others, remember?) and no one wants to buy it. maybe you’d like to take it off my hands since you are such a neo fanatic.
oh wait i forgot. you have “tv and radio commercials running on nationwide media all produced entirely on my neo laptops†and you can now afford the high prices of branded laptops.
@eric
“yes your an idiot for thinking you’re not an idiot.” -gregory house
@eric, eric santiago, neouser
here’s a concept you might not be able to grasp due to your stereotypical better-than-you-because-i-think-so attitudes:
if there are about 20 neo ranters in this forum and only 10 neo positive testimonies and hundreds get to read this forum, but neo sells hundreds of laptops every month, how accurate can your less-than-knowledgeable opinions be in representing the brands’ true qualities/standards (regardless of how it worked for you)?
Not too many rave about neo, im sure. and will surely not have the time to seek a forum such as this just to tell everybody how they’re “just fine” or “ok i guess” with their products.
I’m sure not all that you talk to who purchased neos will share your opinion. Ive recommended neo to my friends and theirs have been working “just fine” or “ok i guess” just like mine.
ryans right. the only fair way to address consumer/manufacturer rights and issues is through the proper channels such as the DTI.
Im sorry that you got the short end of the stick but dont let it go too far up your ass not to see the downside of your actions.
Yes I can afford a branded laptop but why would I buy one? its just not practical on my end. Like buying a brand new car, i cant afford depreciation just for the peace of mind that my car wont break down the next five years. I’d rather buy a good used one and maintain it diligently and make sure it runs for the next 10 years. Id rather buy a cheap neo and make sure it works the way i intended it too (and pray i don’t get what guys got) than pay more just for the peace of mind that it won’t break down due to lack of know-how.
marketing professionals call it word-of-mouth advertising (woma) and you of all people should know that because you’re part of the advertising industry.
to those of you who are not familiar with the term it simply means that consumers will tell other people about certain products or services based on their personal experience. for example if you and your friends went to a restaurant and had an absolutely marvelous time, i guarantee you the next day you will be telling your friends to try it even invite them to go back there again.
if you went to a restaurant where the waiters were rude and you saw cockroaches and houseflies in your food, what are you going to tell your friends the next day?
we’ve all been there. we’ve all done it.
for all of you happy satisfied neo users, of course i expect you to recommend the brand to your friends.
should i call your morons for doing so? no.
should i tell you to shove your opinions up your asses? no.
should i call you idiots? no. because i know you are speaking from your positive experience.
well, i had a very bad experience with my neo laptop and their “customer care†and “after sales service†(really? customer care? service?) so what do you expect me to tell people?
or let me put it this way. suppose i bought a laptop. the brand of the laptop is starbit. then i tell you:
“you know that starbit laptop i bought? it gave me such a headache. they issued me a defective unit and the assholes at their after sale service office made me feel like it was my fault. i told them that i need the laptop for my work or i won’t get paid but they didn’t seem to give a shit about my predicament.
but you know what? i highly recommend starbit laptops. forget mac and acer and all those big name brands. go with starbit laptop. never mind my bad experience just buy a starbit laptop. it is one of the best investments ever.”
does that make any sense at all?
“the only fair way to address consumer/manufacturer rights and issues is through the proper channels such as the dtiâ€
i did call dti to complain and they passed my call from one person to another (and to think long distance yun). and finally the last person who took my call said ganyan naman po talaga. end of conversation. she didn’t tell me what do to do next. where to file a complaint. she just hang up. happy?
“i’d rather buy a cheap neo and make sure it works the way i intended it too (and pray i don’t get what guys got)â€
well it’s too late for me. i should have prayed before i purchased my neo. and until you’ve walked in my shoes i don’t think you have any right to tell me to “dont let it go too far up your ass not to see the downside of your actions.†p27k maybe nothing to you. you probably wipe your ass with it. but it’s a hell of a lot of money to me. it’s a hell of a lot of money to the majority of filipinos.
and what does “not to see the downside of your actions†mean? that i bought a neo? that i believed the salesperson and neo’s marketing materials? that’s the downside of my action?
if you’re calling me stupid for doing so well yeah i agree with you. that was a stupid thing to do hence my personal crusade against neo.
they didn’t give a fuck about me (even though that’s their job and that’s what they get paid for) why should i give a fuck if that company closed down? you want me to turn the other cheek so they can slap it with my P27K?
but as you claim there are hundreds and thousands and perhaps millions of happy neo users and there are only 10 of us. does that mean we should shut? hell no. bring it on neo bitch!
[...] discussions on Neo Laptops are getting heated lately. NEO’s are getting good, bad and really ugly [...]
@johng:
“here’s a concept you might not be able to grasp due to your stereotypical better-than-you-because-i-think-so attitudes…”
Are you sure you’re not the one having the stereotypical better-than-you-because-i-think-so attitude? If your read my comments in this forum. I never claimed to have so bad an experience with Neo that I am campaigning against it on the worldwide web as if others with better experience are not entitled to their own opinions. Oh I know how to file a complain at DTI because we have already done that before with another company, Smartbro, which worked in our favor. But the thing is the one I shared in this forum is just about the battery of my laptop that went dead within 6 months which I don’t give a damn in the end because I seldom use the battery in it anyway. But the question is: Is it something normal for any brand of laptop for its battery to die in less than 6 months in spite all the care you gave to it? Talk to every tech and people who knows more about computer hardware and I’ll bet you that they will question it like the way I did. And don’t tell me I don’t know how to use and care for my laptop because computers and computer software are my bread and butter. I’m in the IT field and so I know the problem is the lies in the hardware (battery, which is made in China) and not some mishandling issue. I am not alone in that boat, so are you telling me our battery is as good as yours? I bought a Neo because it gave me decent specs for a cheaper price, and it is working fine except for the battery disaster and the poor tech support I got.
What I am trying to get across here is that everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion. And just because someone is campaigning against this or that product that doesn’t mean that he or she is already a moron or someone with a colonial mentality. People are free to go for or against any product based on his or her own assessment. And now you’re saying that just because someone’s experience is directly opposite that of yours he is already an idiot for expressing his opinion?
Your counting on the so-called downside of Mr. Santiago’s “angry” comments, so I will ask you this. Do you exactly know what is the “true quality” of the Neo brand for you to say something like “your less-than-knowledgeable opinions” against it? You’re in advertising industry. Don’t you know that a customer’s experience with whatever product is ultimately the true test of a product’s viability or chance to surpass others in the same category? People make choices and its up to them to either listen to you or Mr. Santiago. Forums and blogs are created for people to post their views/opinions/rants whichever side they go - for or against anybody or anything. I would not question your experience or that of others getting a “flawless” experience with Neo because that’s yours to share. But the thing is we are here to share opinions and assessments of our experience and so let others who do not share your experience share theirs without being ridiculed by those who profess that they do not have “stereotypical better-than-you-because-i-think-so attitudes”. The topic here is about Philippine laptop and so let people talk about it, whether pro or against. Personally, I only informed my colleagues about my battery experience of a particular Neo model. Of course, I discourage them about it but it is still up to them to decide where to put their money’s worth in it. In our field, we are always ask by others who know less about computers about this or that specification, or this or that brand, or is this price or that price is reasonable enough. We always try to recommend the best based on the reviews, certifications and our own experiences. So what should I tell them? Should I say sweepingly that Neo is great because it is a Filipino company and I didn’t have any problem with it? Of course not! If you’re a competent professional, you will always point out what you think is the best based on your knowledge and EXPERIENCE about the product in question. One more thing, Neo Manufacturing is an ASSEMBLER of laptops with parts manufactured from other companies in other countries. As such, they have huge responsibility to make sure that their quality control in both acquisition of parts and assembly are tough enough to weed out those that are defectives. And if somehow some will end up the market, they should provide the service to remedy it. But who cares about this or that processes? What people want is the product in THEIR POSSESSION to WORK like they are supposed to, and if they by some chance they don’t then the companies producing it are OBLIGATED to give them the APPROPRIATE CUSTOMER SERVICE. If that doesn’t happen, customers that have grievances have all the right to complain or rant or whatever. Don’t give us the BS about colonial mentality or the so-called downside of other people’s negative comment about product because in the end its the PEOPLE WHO USE IT that tells the story….by all means share your own story. You’re entitled to it! We ALL have to exercise and enjoy our freedom of choice and expression after all….
@eric
goodness me… how much time did you spend writing back instead of just “respecting” my opinion? say 15 minutes (assuming you are the writer I don’t think you are) then 1000 a day / 8 hours of work then you would’ve lost P31.25 in the process. and counting the number of times you posted a comment about 12 that makes your grand total loss in this forum a whopping P375! Thats a full thirds of a day’s work lost whining in a forum! You should really do something to get back at neo like i dunno, going to a newspaper and air your complaint and lets see how neo reacts (i know i said this forum is not the right channel, probably dti would be the legal way). but whatever it is the more you bitch to people who cant do much for you (such as a guy named neouser) the more unproductive you get. only chicks flock in the restroom to powder, you’re not a chick are you? you really get nowhere. much like your crusade. nowhere.
you know how much time i spent reading your last post? zero.
same goes to neouser
@johng
“you know how much time i spent reading your last post? zero.same goes to neouser”
if you don’t take the time to read the other posts (the ones that disagree with your opinion) in this forum then what’s the point in joining in? this is a discussion you know. what exactly are you responding to?
“how much time did you spend writing back instead of just “respecting” my opinion?”
the reason why i wrote back (10 minutes btw) was to respond to your response to my response to ryan’s post (whew!) the one who said those of us who have a bad experience with neo products and are talking about it here were “morons”
so who is not showing any respect here?
“only chicks flock in the restroom to powder, you’re not a chick are you? ”
first you used the gay metaphor (wink! wink!)
then you used that quotation about being an idiot (wink! wink!)
now you’re using “chicks” in a derogatory manner.
that’s your idea of respecting others’ opinions?
we seem to get off the track here and that is my and others’ bad experience with neo products and the really bad experience with their after sales service.
stick to the issue, read what others have to say (even if they are contrary to your point of view) and stop the name calling (btw, i’ve been called worst names than moron, gay, idiot or chick, lol)
then you can make your demand for people to respect your opinion.
(total time: 3min 23 secs)
@eric
got your point the first time… doesnt take a genius to predict what your response would be so i didnt bother reading your post anymore.
dont need your respect. but i’ll give you mine though. never called you names… read my posts again. except for the ‘house’ quote.
just saying that you’re better off finding workarounds on your neo problems and go on to being productive than bitching in a forum that doesn’t give you advice to solve your video cable problems nor battery problems. all you get here is sympathy probably some real advice here or there but more often than not just plain sympathy.
now you can cry all you want, people here will probably give you a shoulder you can cry on (neouser), or do something more.
less money spent = less quality bought = poor after sales service = Pilipinas ito. of course this is often inversely proportional to first world countries.
being realistic (not be mistaken as a cynic) there’s little this forum can do to change this. my contribution to this discussion though is my unsolicited-unwanted-and-unworthy-of-your-precious-time advice which is to deal with the neo situation and get on with your life.
17 mins (took me that long…)
@johng
“all you get here is sympathy probably some real advice here or there but more often than not just plain sympathy.”
guess what? “plain sympathy” is a lot more than what i got from neo, the company that sold me the factory defective laptop, in exchange for my non-defective P27K.
and i appreciate that “plain sympathy” very much. it may not mean much to you because you don’t know what i went through. but if you did you would know that “plain sympathy” goes a long, long way.
“less money spent = less quality bought = poor after sales service = Pilipinas ito.”
so therefore you are saying that neo products are inferior to imported products because they are cheaper? now i’m confused. isnt this the same thinking that ryan described as the thinking of “morons” (i didnt use that word, ryan did). i got to read ryan’s post again.
“my contribution to this discussion though is my unsolicited-unwanted-and-unworthy-of-your-precious-time advice which is to deal with the neo situation and get on with your life.”
you were the one who said “doesnt take a genius to predict what your response would be so i didnt bother reading your post anymore.”
well unlike you i actually read every word of your posts. because that’s how discussion boards work. i never said it was unwanted or unworthy. if your opinions were worthless to me would i bother to respond to your posts?
look we have different experiences with neo. so let’s agree to disagree.
go ahead and spread the gospel of neo. you won’t hear me use “gay metaphors”, “idiot” quotations or call you a “chick” for doing that. that is your right. i respect that.
and meanwhile i will continue with my little crusade.
maybe you’re right maybe i will accomplish nothing in the end. maybe i am just wasting my time here.
but what if you are wrong?
what if neo, after reading this forum, decides to overhaul its quality control system and rolled out more reliable products?
what if neo, after reading this forum, decides to re-train its after sales staff and technicians to be more responsive to its customers?
who stands to benefit from that?
it’s neo, isnt it?
so if you look at the big picture, my anti-neo crusade is actually a pro-neo crusade in the long run!
@eric
really? another post for me? geez thanks. i didnt call you any names. and i apologize for the quotes and the metaphors, i assumed you weren’t that sensitive with those.
i really am hoping that i’m wrong. and that discussion boards such as this can well realize the what if’s you mentioned.
so all this bitchin’ n bickerin’ is because u want to help neo in the long run? (dude alang sarcasm ‘yan ha)
just a thought: has anybody here ever entered a used-car dealership? how did the ‘buy and sellers’ treat you? did they show enough enthusiasm towards you as a customer? were they ‘hard sell’ on the cars they were selling? did they offer some form of warranty?
im asking because the reason that i’m satisfied with my neo, is that when i bought my laptop i knew what i was getting. i knew that several forums such as this were going around and if i got a lemon, i knew that aftersales was gonna be a bitch because there’s none. much like buying a used car. you walk into the dealership, with everybody eying you down summing up if you could afford any of the vehicles they were selling, and when they think they can close you they pitch everything good about the car but at the back of their minds they know that theyre blabbing cowshit. you know this but you still buy though. what you usually do is spend more to fix the problem or try and cushion any loss by selling it to another person usually employing the same methods used to lure you in. thats how it is with cars and cheap laptops. thats just me.
now if we can have the same attitude with used cars as with neo laptops, we might not be stressing out too much on discussion boards.
i probably got lucky 3 times in a row with neo. but i saw some sony vaios on sale in harrison plaza this afternoon. they’re about the same price as a neo with the sightly higher specs but will probably perform better because of the synergy of the well researched components that sony put into it. might just get one, if i do i wont get my hopes up on the quality and service because im still acquiring it cheap.
@johng
“i didnt call you any names. and i apologize for the quotes and the metaphors, i assumed you weren’t that sensitive with those.â€
i am not sensitive to those at all (let’s call them “clutterâ€) but i do know that when people add clutter to their opinions in forums such as this one most people respond to the clutter than to the opinion itself.
for example in another forum a guy posted “i think you’re wrong, you faggot.†from that point on, the discussion went down the toilet. but if he had said. “sorry, i think you’re wrong†the discussion could have continued and people would have maintained their focus on the topic.
at any rate there’s no need to apologize.
“so all this bitchin’ n bickerin’ is because u want to help neo in the long run?â€
yeah i know it’s ironic. but i have emailed their customer service three times and voiced my complaint and they didn’t even acknowledge any of it. the dti was no help, either. maybe this would serve as a wake up call because i know some neo staff are monitoring this (at least early on).
okay, so maybe i was just unlucky when i got my unit and there’s nothing wrong with their quality on the average, but dude, believe me their after sales service really suck big time. like i said earlier, they could have at the very least showed some plain sympathy. neo really needs to re-train their staff.
neo is obviously after the market who can’t afford more expensive brands. for us even a p15k laptop qualifies as a major investment. but neo doesn’t seem to get that.
their attitude, at least to me, seems “you bought a cheap neo laptop what do you expect?†if neo employees feel that way about their own products then something must be really wrong.
“i’m satisfied with my neo, is that when i bought my laptop i knew what i was getting. i knew that several forums such as this were going around and if i got a lemon, i knew that aftersales was gonna be a bitch because there’s none.â€
that’s where i went wrong. i didn’t do my research before i bought my neo. and yes i hit my head against the wall every time i think of that (excuse me i need to do it now).
honestly, i didn’t even know neo was a local brand initially. if i remember correctly the sales person said it was a taiwan brand. maybe i heard him wrong. but i was pretty sure he said a lot of good things about neo and i just didn’t have the knowledge base to sift the sales bullshit from the fact. lesson learned the very hard way.
“now if we can have the same attitude with used cars as with neo laptops, we might not be stressing out too much on discussion boards.â€
i don’t know if buying used cars and buying brand new computers is a fair comparison. if i were buying a used computer well yeah i’d be very guarded and skeptical. i have never bought a used car (i make a pathetic p1k a day!) but i have bought a used cell phone. and i did ask a lot of questions and even checked its casing for the tiniest scratches even though i know they don’t really affect the cp’s performance.
but when i am buying a brand new cell phone i assume its working properly and i’m less vigilant and i limit the questions to its operations and of course the warranty. but that’s me. i’m really the gullible type i guess.
i pledge to be more viligant consumer whether i am buying a used or a brand new product. see, i learned something new here today!
I already dumped my neo…so disgusting…Wag kyo bumili ng neo sakit lng sa ulo…maybe not know pero in the end d xa mgttagal. Quality is not gud. Crisis ngaun so u need to be very wise buying things like computers/laptops. Hindi pinupulot ang perang pmbili nyan….
I already dumped my neo…so disgusting…Wag kyo bumili ng neo sakit lng sa ulo…maybe not now pero in the end d xa mgttagal. Quality is not gud. Crisis ngaun so u need to be very wise buying things like computers/laptops. Hindi pinupulot ang perang pmbili nyan….
@eric
used cars and neo laptops are similar but used cars are even worse. you spend hundreds of thousands for a good pre-owned vehicle without warranty nor some form of after sales. neo laptops come with warranties and bad customer service, but nonetheless customer service.
yes vigilance is key as well. if neo and other manufacturer’s find it much harder to sell by saying this product is all this and that, rather than being honest and telling you that their product is cheap and there’s a possibility that it might be a lemon then maybe they would change their sales attitude and let you make more informed decisions.
you should see me deal with manlalako of dvd’s in quezon ave. near mercury drug. i tell them flat out “sinungaling ka!” when i know their lying and tell them “sige bibilhin ko ito kahit alam ko niloloko mo lang ako” and forcing them to tell the truth “di naman maasahan yung mga sinasabi mo, daming beses ko na narinig yan”. i always end up getting good copies and not buying movies that are still in cinema status because the peddler becomes more honest. we often don’t tell the vrb that the bumbay at the corner sold you a defective judy ann-piolo pirated movie
what i’m saying is people can be honest or want to be honest, but times are hard and often they overlook virtues just to make a sale. same goes for neo, often substandard products are still released for sale regardless of quality control standards. you get pissed but please dont bring them down, because much like the muslim dvd peddler they bring access to otherwise pricey but original or branded versions. more good than harm. lesser evil bs.
surf the net, check the tech blogs, walk in the store, know more of what you are buying than the salesperson, do not trust the salesperson, test the product based on what you know, do not trust the salesperson. thats my tip.
@johng
thanks for the advice. it will come handy when i shop for another laptop.
better yet i think i’ll take you with me - even if i have to drag you kicking and screaming to every computer store at megamall and gilmore! lol!
hmmm what a discussion, sorry guys i have to admit i stopped reading not even halfway thru masyadong tedious e.
let me just relate to the one i noted about the numbers of complaints compared to those that are satisfied. yes there are thousands of neo laptops sold compared to the numbers of whiners here. here, where i am, we number about 11 neo users in this division alone, my co-employees are not complaining, tho i am the only one posting here,i can say we are all satisfied with our neo’s. yung mga hangs, restarts, etc na sinasabi nyong defects meron din kami nyan nung umpisa pero mostly caused by how the lap tops are being used at sa programs na iniinstall, kahit anong brand can experience this kung mali ang gamit. kaya basing on the different complaints i read i suspect most of them are not really angry at the product itself but with the customer service. sa mga complaints halata mo na karamihan eh walang alam sa technical side ng computers particularly on the proper usage and maintenance. most of the complaints are not really telling the whole story, theyre holding in on the truth or something. hindi din porke kasi may warranty, sisirain ng ignorance sa paggamit ng computer tapos dadalhin sa customer service,of course when rejected, aangal. tamad lang kasi magbasa ng manual, sa complaints lang masipag.another thing i noted is why suspects those that are saying they are satisfied with the product to be part of the manufacturing company? or suspect that theres something in it for them? why? hindi ka ba tinuturuan nun bata ka to stand up for what you think is fair and right ng walang kapalit? if you suspect that all this is because neo is giving out something for this or this is part of neo talking, then logic will dictate that you whiners should be treated with the same suspicion as well that you are all from… what? ibm? toshiba? sony? hp? mga competition na naglalabas ng negatives at paninira because your sales are being affected? maybe thats that… gotcha!
@tibbar
“i read i suspect most of them are not really angry at the product itself but with the customer service.”
in my case yes it is about consumer service. like i said even though i got a FACTORY DEFECTIVE unit, if the customer service was better i wouldnt be this pissed off. if neos customer service was satisfactory, i would even recommend it to my friends despite the fact i got a factory defective unit, because i know neo takes good care of their customers. but they dont.
“tamad lang kasi magbasa ng manual, sa complaints lang masipag”
ah actually my neo laaptop didnt really have a manual (the thick kind) it only came with a one-page flyer with an illustration that identified the different parts of the unit.”
“another thing i noted is why suspects those that are saying they are satisfied with the product to be part of the manufacturing company? or suspect that theres something in it for them? why? hindi ka ba tinuturuan nun bata ka to stand up for what you think is fair and right ng walang kapalit?”
i suspect that because instead of addressing the issue they are ridiculing those of us who are complaining about our experience with neo. for example, ryan called us “morons”
you yourself told me:
“go back to sleep and dont forget to take your medicine, stop playing with your fathers computer.”
i am attacking neo am) because they gave me such a headache. but why are you attacking me personally?
when you said “take my medicine” are you’re implying i take anti-pyschotic drugs?
when you said “stop playing with your fathers computer” are you’re implying that i am a juvenile who don’t know how to use a laptop (i’m actually in my 30s)
even if that’s not what you meant why make those comments in the first place?
why cant you just say “i disagree with you” or “the problem is you misused your computer” instead of saying “some of the stories here are somewhat funny and some are outight ridiculous and stupid.”
what do you gain by ridiculing us?
btw you made some assumptions too like:
“most of the complaints are not really telling the whole story, theyre holding in on the truth or something.”
i am not saying that every complainer here has been 100% honest.but how do you know that? do you have proof?
okay i will admit i did make that assumption that you may be working for neo simply because of your personal attacks and your attempts at discrediting us instead of sticking to the issue.
kasi di ba if you dont have any personal interest at stake why launch a personal attack?
i have been standing up for my right here as a disgruntled consumer in exchange for nothing (i wish acer, mac or sony is paying me to do this!) although i understand why you would think that. tama ka. it works both ways.
but i have proof na genuine disgruntled consumer ako (yung neo laptop ko)
but most of all i have been standing up for my right here and all this time i never made a personal attack on you or anyone else (nothing blatant anyway, lol)
respecting the opinion of others, even if you disagree with them, is the basis of democracy.
also if you stop reading every post here because you find it “too tedious” then you’re missing the point of joining a forum.
ngayon kung gusto mo lang na oo ng oo sa opinion mo, that’s not a discussion. that’s a monologue with an audience.
‘ngayon kung gusto mo lang na oo ng oo sa opinion mo, that’s not a discussion. that’s a monologue with an audience’.
i agree with tibbar…
‘i suspect that because instead of addressing the issue they are ridiculing those of us who are complaining about our experience with neo’
eric would refer to this as clutter…
my 3 neos all came with thick manuals that had very bad english, what model was yours tibbar? maybe you can borrow mine, although its completely useless (pero makapal at may konting production value). you’re better off with the quickstart guide flyer.
i remember a rep telling me that some neo parts are made in taiwan or the design or something. and when you download neo drivers some of the links point to a taiwanese site http://www.clevo.tw
so its not a totally pilipino product. nowadays ‘made in china’ is worse than ‘made in taiwan’. i wonder how ‘made in the philippines’ is considered locally. abroad i think it has higher value, here kaya locally ano common treatment?….just a thought (medyo off-discussion)
@johng
‘ngayon kung gusto mo lang na oo ng oo sa opinion mo, that’s not a discussion. that’s a monologue with an audience’. i agree with tibbar…
are you agreeing with the monologue line? because i said that to tibbar.
“i remember a rep telling me that some neo parts are made in taiwan”
when i was waiting for neo to fix my unit their standard excuse for the long wait was that “the spare part has not arrived from taiwan.” that’s why i thought neo was a taiwanese brand before i discovered this forum
nowadays ‘made in china’ is worse than ‘made in taiwan’
in the 60s products that were made in japan were considered inferior but not anymore. in the 80s and 90s products made in taiwan and korea have also gained some respect.
products made in china i beleive would also gain respect eventually but not as quickly as japanese, taiwanse and korean products because the country is still largely controlled by the government rather than private enterprise.
its really all about quality and innovation. there’s no getting around that.
“i wonder how ‘made in the philippines’ is considered locally. abroad i think it has higher value, here kaya locally ano common treatment?”
there’s a perfectly good explanation for that. dito kasi sa atin may double standard sa quality. yung “export quality” and yung “pwede na yan”.
pag for foreign market, mas maganda talaga quality ng philippine products. pag pang local market mas mababa. i guess kasi stricter ang standards abroad.
for example sa farm products, yung magagandang mangga at saging pang export sa japan, us, australia, etc. yung tira tira (yung di perfect ang “kutis”) for local consumption only because di tatangapin yun sa abroad (rejects kung baga based on their standards)
that’s the exact opposite being practiced by the japanese daw. lahat ng magaganda for the jap market. yung lower quality ang pang export (at least yun sabi ng prof ko dati na di ko malilimutan). i dont know about the taiwanese and koreans if they do it the japanese way.
anyway that’s one reason may “colonial mentality” ang mga pinoy consumers kasi we only get the non-export quality products. siguro kung from the start eh may access tayo sa export-quality phil products iba attitude natin ngayon.
then again di mo naman masisi mga manufacturers and producers kasi mas maganda presyo sa export market. so siempre yun priority nila.
i dont know if that is right or wrong. as a filipino consumer i think it’s wrong. but kung ako ang businessman siempre kung san malaki kita dun ako. after all business is business. it’s not “charity.”
the question is… is it possible for manufacturers to sell “export-quality” products at prices na abot kaya ng majority of the filipinos (the 80% that live below the poverty line).

i have a friend who owns a NEO Empriva just like mine, a line appeared on his lcd monitor, we brought it to megamall, after diagnosing it and determined that it was not due to carelessness they had…….

“why cant you just say “i disagree with you†or “the problem is you misused your computer†instead of saying “some of the stories here are somewhat funny and some are outight ridiculous and stupid.â€
ohh, you are teaching me what i should write, well i understand now why youre reacting that way, thats funny and outright ridiculous and stupid and the way you spend time dissecting my post, my oh my, thats weird.
by scanning the posts above i noticed that youre the one who calls the attention of posters the most, dont you have anything important to do than hang around here waiting for new message? are you that desperate to want to have the attention?
“also if you stop reading every post here because you find it “too tedious†then you’re missing the point of joining a forum.”
i know your point of joining a forum, thats is to rant and whine. well, if youre happy with that and youre getting the most pleasure by all means continue, but spare me with your whining and ranting.
@johnG
“my 3 neos all came with thick manuals that had very bad english, what model was yours tibbar? maybe you can borrow mine, although its completely useless (pero makapal at may konting production value). you’re better off with the quickstart guide flyer.”
i have the electronic manual embedded in my laptop, i just go to the directory and press a key. its included in the software installer.
@tibbar
“ohh, you are teaching me what i should write, well i understand now why youre reacting that way, thats funny and outright ridiculous and stupid…â€
no, i’m not teaching you what you should write.
i am just saying you don’t have to launch a personal attack to get your point across (especially if you don’t have anything personal to lose or gain). write whatever you want but why resort to personal attacks? sabi nga kung baga, opinion lang yan walang personalan.
what i am saying is that before you post anything here (or anywhere else) ask yourself this:
“would i use the same language and terms if i were posting this to my mother or grandmother?â€
if your mother or grandmother were the ones ranting and raving here would you use the terms “morons†“stupid†etc?
and please don’t say that i am not your nanay or lola so you can talk thrash to me – because that would give me the license to diss your mom and granny. after all they are not my nanay or lola. would that be acceptable to you?
what i’m saying is that think of society as an exclusive club where you have to pay the daily membership fee which is respecting every body else regardless of their sex, age, gender-preference, nationality, political beliefs, job, opinion about neo, etc.
those who don’t want to pay the membership fee should do what osama did and live in some remote cave somewhere (btw i’m not dissing osama because he is a muslim, but because he is a terrorist).
“and the way you spend time dissecting my post, my oh my, thats weird.â€
of course i spend time to dissect your posts (and all others). i read them and re-read them because i want to know what your thoughts and your opinions are. and i want to make sure i get them right before i respond. that is the purpose of a forum. what’s weird about that?
“dont you have anything important to do than hang around here waiting for new message?â€
i have a “message alert†which tells me if there’s a new post on this forum (and all other forums) so your (and everyone else’s) posts are sent directly to my email.
as for the “anything important to do†well, i guess not (lol)
“are you that desperate to want to have the attention?â€
i guess so - particulalry neo’s attention.
i bought a neo vivid v2121 last dec 2007,
as for now…
1) it works good (12 hours/ day of usage for a year)
2) i bought it 45000php at octagon and they where very nice when it pertains to customer service..
3) i never complain of any defect even the battery till now it last untill 2 hrs. i just visit octagon to check for some good updates and check up for my loptop and even i already spent my warranty they still entertain and check my latop for free..
4) i never spent a bit peso for laptop repairs..(just bought some cleaning kit, cooling pad, and printer and mouse…hahaha..)
5)no problem till now… working the same from the day i bought it..
advice upon buying and using
1. buy neo on good stores like OCTAGON, GUILMORE not on mall stall w/o good reputation nya
2. just clean it often( buy brush and cleaning kit)
3. buy a cooling pad (everytime u used it, it will stay cool as you do)
4. avoid droping adding pressure to your laptop
5. check the store where you bought it every month or twice for check ups and updates
7. defrag, virus scan, nad clean up your laptop twice a month
6. and last, trust and love your laptop (as its your treasure)
its not all about the neo notbook itself buy how you can take good cAre of it and handle it.. perhaps good quality comes from good stores so dont dare to buy on stall that offer more cheaper price (but still the same laptop)..
i trust my laptop so much and it never let me down so far..
i have a NEO vivid v2121, just got it february 2, 2009, i never heard of this stories so i thought of buying NEO after seeing a good specs plus less money. after 1 week of usage under normal circumstances, one key fell from the keyboard, letter U. Im so disappointed about it, im hoping that it will perform good because i have an uncle who owns a neo also..so to solve the problem i called tech support hotline at (02)633-3636 hoping someone can help me, i dialed 5 times waiting on the line for 5 mins dial and no one answered the phone, after 5 mins phone line will just drop automatically, so i dialed one more time, luckily someone answered at around 3 mins of waiting, i told them the problem, what they just said is that its a physical damage and i have to pay Pph 2110 for replacement, they quoted me that amount since its considered out of warranty..i am working in SONY VAIO tech support for almost 2 years so i know about physical damage, we even replace fallen keys on the keyboard for free..and i definitely know if i did a physical damage on my computer, the base of the keyboard where the key should be set doesnt seem to be broken, the key tile itself is not broken but was just detached from the keyboard..i know its a quality issue..but i dont want to fix it myself since im in warranty, it could be voided if i tamper something, hoping they can fix it i went to megamall neo in cyberzone yesterday feb 11, 2009, as i stepped inside, i witnessed the horror of other customers complaining, one is an executive complaining his unit was not fixed after 1 month of waiting and he is wanting to speak to neo president or someone higher, others also complain with the very slow process of tech support..but im still hoping that they can fix easily the problem since no damage from the keyboard, everything was intact, its just the tile of the keyboard is just detached, only one tile..i witnessed the unprofessionalism of the techs, they used inappropriate tools, and did the worst just to attach the keyboard, finally it was attached but the metal base was deformed and tile was attached but wont work because its broken now..tech decides that it should be for replacement and i have to wait for 7 working days just for them to check the keyboard if they will consider it as in warranty. how can it be considered in warranty if they already broke it while trying to fix it..they removed the whole keyboard and returned to me the unit, now im with a laptop with no keyboard, its my first laptop from my salary of my first job..im so disappointed with NEO..i will never buy NEO again.
NOYE ESTOPACE
pls send me a neo223110 driver because we cant re install my loptop with no driver…
can i ask if you have a neo branch in cebu?
@roxan:
There is a neo showroom branch in Cebu - in SM Northwing area. As for quality of neo laptops, I’ve seen worse - I have two neo laptops, one 12″ and the other one a Vivid 1100 netbook (and my uncle has one older laptop for about almost 4 years) and they have given me no problems whatsoever - except battery life (1+ hours for my 12″ laptop is not what you consider as mobile worthy) - I’ve had my neo vivid fall accidentally on the floor from 3 feet and it was still working! I’ve had more experiences of bad quality from Blue (I have one Blue netbook, and I’ve had it serviced TWICE already, and my friend has had his Blue laptop serviced due to keyboard problems a number of times). If you want to buy a good neo laptop make sure you buy it from a reputable computer shop (that’s what I do).
My first time to submit a comment here.
I do feel sorry for Neo for all the negative comments but there is nothing wrong about it since everybody should have the right to express their sentiments or opinions.
Even high end brands will still suffer some malfunctions much especially if being used daily. I bought a Neo laptop last Dec 2006 worth Php24,999.00 from PC Corner and until this time, I never encountered any hardware related problems. Even though oftentimes, I used it for more than 8 hours in a non-aircondition room, still it is functioning perfectly. At best, it is a must to use a laptop cooler especially if used for extended times.
Godbless to all!
Asus laptops now matched almost all the other brands laptop prices. 2 year warranty, good reputation why settle for Neo or any other brands?
I have a Neo Emprivia NVP2 and I regret it, battery flawed 6 months, always a ringing sound in speakers.
Neo is JUNK!
Now I’m an Asus user, and its and X80Ne at least it has a VIDEO CARD
hi,
i have a neo laptop bought in sm marikina, just this december 2008. cool specs, cheap price.
performance is great, really happy with it.
there are only 2 downsides that am experiencing, which i hope people can give me advice on:
1) short battery life…i think it only lasts 1 hour (unlike my lenovo t-60, which can go on for 3 hours or so).
2) when it heats up, it really HEATS UP. i had to buy a coolong deck in Octagon megamall. it kinda hurts my palm when i use the tablet.
Should i go to their service center already for these? am more worried about #2 as am afraid it might affect performance or other circuitry of the laptop.
*** sorry, i meant cooling deck in #2
is it old enough if my neo laptop is three years old already?
I AGREE!!! BAD EXPERIENCE WITH NEO HERE, after 3 months battery got around 15mins lifespan so plugging to the power outlet is needed, its like a laptop that turned desktop after 3 months. Went to service center to purchase battery, they said NEO is not producing batteries of the model anymore. What I did I threw the Laptop and purchased HP.
after a month I got myself another ASUS, HP was fine, ASUS’ monitor/hinge broke, went to service center they say i have to wait till stocks for the desired part arrives, waited for almost a month, replaced. for 1 year my hinge broke like 5 times. NEVER BUYING ASUS AGAIN!!!!!
my old HP is still working, threw my ASUS to the garbage and bought another HP both HP’s working fine
never got to call tech support or service center.
im having problems with my neo basic sabi ung cable ng lcd ang sira and im planning to go to megamall tomorrow, i hope maayos nila. btw anyone knows the service center number in megamall? and is there a service charge for it or ill just pay for the parts replacement?
dame ko kasi nabasa na comment here.. can I ask a question?
kasi parang natatakot na akong bumili ng neo sa mga sinabi nyo! pero I have a friend.. he as a neo and bought it for about 19k.. and he is using this NEO for 2 years.. it’s working well. ACcording to him… just take good care of it… I like the positive comment..hahaha
maexperience ko rin yan mga naexperience nyo…
kasi bibili ako this coming saturday..
good luck sa akin
hehehe….
@sassy
i believe your problem is the same as my problem - the factory defective lcd cable.
if it’s still under warranty (and the warranty is still valid) wala ka babayaran.
yun lang maghihintay ka ng at least 9 working days (that means di bilang ang saturdays, sundays and holidays).
my advice: magbaon ka ng maraming pacencia (not the biscuit!) at antacid para di ka masyado sikmurain sa bad customer service nila.
but to be fair to them my bad experience with the megamall neo people happened last year pa. who knows baka mas matino na sila ngayon.
good luck na lang.
neo is good and affordable! i both my neo laptap vivid 2121 last year, so far wala p naman any problems, in fact, bumili uli ako neo and ung isa pinadala ko sa province! nagpabili kc tita ko, and neo ang nirecommend ko sa kanya! nag upgrade ako konti, note, sa tao lng ako nk bili na nag bbuy and sell ng laptaps! brandnew ko nkuha, neo basic 2176n, me warranty form pa and boxed! tinanong ko muna kung magkano sa pc corner, 28,999 pa! nbili ko lng ng 22k! sana nga walang hiden defect! mag 2 weeks p lng skin!
I just want to share my experience with neo..
actually pwede mo sya gamitin until 5 - 7 hours straigt.. na hindi umuiinit ang unit… bili kayo ng cooling pad nyo para hindi sya iinit… wala kame aircon sa house. pero ok sya.. yung NEO B2186n ang gamit ko.. 2 gb.. mabilis sya at maganda rin nman ang sya.. observe ko pa sya for another week.. if it will do.. ang problem lang 1 hour lang yug battery.. need lageng icharge .. un ang problema nun..hehehe…
Im back! why? before i post my message here kasi i used defective neo laptop, for a days, pero pinapalit ko ng ibng brand yung ASUS. so far wala me naging problem. Ngayon im back kasi im using now NEO laptop Free by PLDT, Wow grabe for the second time i used it may defect pa din, pero hindi na battery ha, yung DVD writer nya.
i’ve been using my neo laptop for like 2 yrs now..and guess what..my batt r not working na.i bought my neo laptop for 60k!!! as in 60k dat was january 2007..at first i so luv my neo though i still do..but d thing is dat its durability..i already sent my unit at d head office to fix my laptop’s speaker coz d other size was not working it too 2 weeks 2 get my laptop back i didnt pay even a cent necause of d warranty.but suddenly mabilis nga xa mra..ung mga rubber na nakadikit sa bottom ng laptop ung maliliit na rubber na yun costs P200 each! my laptop camera lense was lost.madame na din parts ang natanggal tanggal sa laptop ku despite of being careful.hay im thinking if im gonna sell it na lang but nakakapanghinayang kc 60k p bili ku dto dati.d na nga xa gumagana pg hindi nakaplug.cra na batt ku and it will cost 8k above each cell if i buy new batt.kakaloka.i regret talaga.d time i bought my neo laptop dat costs 60k was also d tym where macbook costs 65k.o db konting difference na lang sana macbook na lang binili ku=(
hello guys..ahmm I have my neo laptop right now and its still working heheh…but then I agree with the statements of the other neo users kasi yung friend ko bumili ng neo laptop and then after 3 months he can’t turn it on..so he brought it to the seller and the seller brought it to the tech. support…and guess what??? He wait for 3 months bago naibalik yung laptop nya..know what? pinagsisihan ko talaga ba’t ako bumili ng neo…hahay…next time DONT BUY NEO LAPTOPS..
hi sir/madam
pls help, my problem is i dont have a driver wifi neo gl31
for reistalling my laptop sr# 725343y12020989
truly,
Rodolfo Aragon jr.
im a neo user since january.. the prob is the VIA driver… can even play the game secondlife which im using for business purpose as well… after buying the laptop last january 2009, the laptop got lots of problems and i can even count it on my fingers… please just help me with the driver.. its all i want please
well its not can… but its CANT sorry keyboard also of neo laptop is not good
i bought my neo vivid just more than a month ago..first problem i had was the adapter..had to send it to NEO service center in manila..after a week and a half.it was returned already with my new adapter…however..right now the problem is the laptop is giving out weird sounds like crackling sounds from the speakers..longer time to boot…and this blue screen for the first time popped out of nowhere…saying there’s a system error or sumthin…NOW WHAT? I’m in denial right now..we’re talkin bout hard earned money…i’m very very disappointed…
I bought a second hand neo laptop last december… The owner of this bought the laptop by may 2006. Until now it really works well but the only problem is the battery also..it heats so fast…I bought this for only 8K..but the RAM memory is only 256 that why the price is so cheaper..You need to be careful also with your laptop…The screen of my laptop still have plastic..hehe..
sang-ayon ako kay jaspper comment 171, nasa paggamit lang yan wag niyong gawing tanga ang sarili nio wag porke mura eh sunggab na!!! charge to expirients folks,GANDA YATA NG NEO KO!!! BABU!!!!
Thank you for your comments, I was planning to buy a neo laptop myself. No questions asked pag nasira yung laptop mo basta within warranty tatanggapin nila and aayusin nila.
why are you guys fighting over this kind of thing?
you guys never trust our own products. this is the kind of thinking that slows down the development of the country. all of you think that foreign brands are better but have you ever thought maybe if we patronize our own products, then they would strive harder to provide us with better ones. you guys shouldn’t be called Filipinos. do you not know the effort of the government to develop ICT in the country so that we could achieve national development?
of course you wouldn’t know that!!! you’re just concerned about your shits!!!!
how can the Philippines develop if you continue to break its wings?
it’s not wrong to complain about the product but you shouldn’t broadcast it and whine about it over the internet you know!!!! i’m sure they are trying to do something about it.
and you shit number 2! MAC is good.. i know that! but don’t ever look down on NEO. everything has its differences. and NEO is just starting… it’s still an infant compared to MAC. MAC used to be like this, too!!!! you guys should study more before you open your mouths!!!!
i can’t stand people like you!!!
is there somebody here that encounters same as my problem, where i cant turn my laptop on , B2176 model unless i plug it in the charger/adapter? after that you can just disconnect the adapter because it already started to boot normal, it acts like it starts the computer, and battery is not sufficient anymore to start it? and i notice its fully charged on the last session, but when you shut down, and turn it on, you cant turn it on, and you plug in the adapter and the cycle continues? but when its running already its fine, almost perfect, nightmare only when you shut it down, and turn it on, hassle talaga kasi kailangan bitbit mo talaga ang charger, para mag start!, hay naku, how did you fix urs people? im still waiting for NEOs reply to my problem here..
MACBOOKS ARE FOR FAGS
di daw locally manufactured product ang neo sabi ng isang poster. it’s the taiwanese brand clevo that neo imports and re-brands it as “neo” so technically it’s not philippine-made.
@rrrusti
test mo and battery kung may kakilala ka na may same unit na neo kung ganon din and effect battery ang sira nyan, kung ok ang battery baka yung power contact ang may problem.
updates lang guys ang girls about my NEO Laptop… its getting better and better as time goes on… my battery runs for 3 hours now without the excessive heat. waahoooo! ang galing galing ng NEO Laptop Ko!!!
reminder as per manual about battery care …
fully discharged the battery at least once a month ok,
till next time gotta surf the net with my neo..
Can people give me feedbacks on Neo B2235.. The price tempts me, but still I’d like to know: do the rants here still hold true?
Guys, problem ko yung driver bg neo b2148n ko. Bka mei driver kayo jan. so far ok naman yung neo ko. my baterry runs almost 2 1/2 hours. driver lang ang problem ko
hi, yung problem sa pagturn on ng laptop ng di nkaplug, i encountered the same thing before, then sinubukan ko to unplug everytime mafull charge sya, even while using it. so chinacharge ko lng sya pag less than 20% na ung batt. later on nacorrect ung problem. surprising pero totoo..
to shane,
to tibbar,
bagong battery eh, mahal kaya 7000+
ive been with my NEO for a year and so…and it’s been great so far. I did almost the hard work for my laptop such as programming movie chatting all night long music everything but by God’s grace survivor yung neo ko..sa school namin which is an IT school…naka survive sya nung tamaan lahat ng laptop namin mga 12 na laptop tinamaan 3 ang natira crash down lahat dahil yun nung gumagawa kami ng system…. and im so glad i presented the system smoothly… it never occured any problem… i really love my NEO..i think it would depend on how people use their things,,,, even though it’s MAC or VAIO but if you’re too careless then the hell would happen to your gadgets..
Wow guys! I was shocked by the comments you had here. I think I should have done my assignment before buying a NEO laptop.
I recently bought a Neo Vivid 1195 netbook. I bought it since it was one of the cheapest yet one of the highest specs as compared to other brands.
I only use it though in surfing the internet and using Microsoft Office applications.
So far, so good. I only bought 2 weeks ago. I wish I won’t encounter the problems that you guys did encounter. What I observed so far was it heats up fast. Hopefully, that won’t damage parts.
I’ve bought my empriva 540nvp (centrino duo) last aug. 2007 for overseas use.Using vista premium w/ 1gb ram.Unfortunately, no dedicated grahpics card. It’s still working well. Just taking good care of it. So far no complaints.Running at least more than 4 hours a day.Used a laptop cooler on it since the time I bought it since I noticed it got hot.Works perfectly fine to me.
By the way, IT WASNT MY CHOICE to buy. Pinilit lang aku ng Misis ku! Anyway, watched movies online on it. Even added a usb TV stick. Did some tweaking on the OS so now it booted faster.
hi to all.
Here I am again. At first, todo praise ako sa NEO ko. It was going well for couple of months but then, see… wala na sya now.. after 3 months of using it, crash down na.. yung LCD ng laptop biglang naging blank na white tapos nagcorrupt ang Hard disk ko… aun nasa service center at guest what for a month bago makuha..kumusta un .. eh.. work laptop ko pa naman sya.. haizt… buti pa ung TOSHIBA ko na Dynabook..matagal na model pero still gumagana naman.. i discourage you guys bumili ng NEO.. kasi to the fact na hindi ko nagagamit ang LAPI ko kasi nasa work ako and I have my own desktop here.. at nasa house lang.. at internet lang ang gamit ko dun.. hay.. mas ok na spend kau ng some money sa worth na product.. kau din…
Good for me I didnt encounter much problems with my Old Neo.Although, the battery’s flat. I should’ve removed it once fully charged and relied on ac power instead. Ang MAHAL ng battery!!! 6k daw. Bought another “no name” laptop locally sold here in Singapore a SUZUKI brand( not related to SUZUKI motorbikes).Dual Core, 4 gig ram and 256 dedicated Vram ( memory can go up to 1.5 gig)All for less than 30k!!! But now, both my new lappy and adaptor is running hot.Customer service told me its normal. So I made a 12 volt adaptor cooler connected to my laptop cooler. Never using my usb port.I made use of a 12 volt power adaptor instead. Hope it holds well
If you are using vista, search google for tweaks. how to increase internet speed and os vista tweaks. try to shutdown some startup programs running on boot up. Also use the readyboost feature. increased my ram memory using a 4 gig flash drive. It helps. it you’re using dual core lappy, tinker with windows configuration and set it to use two cpu’s for booting up instead of one. That’ll make it boot faster.
By the way, my laptop cooler draws air from the bottom up. in a way forces more air to go thru my lappy.Dont buy those which suck air away from the laptop. That will only increase the chances of overheating.
sobrang ok pa neo ko promise…ganito ko sya gamitin pag naka adaptor ako tinatanggal ko yung batt ko.. i won’t use my lapi in ac power with batt on… yun ang numero unong nakaka sira…. and naka limit ang oras na pag gamit ko.. kasi ang laptop hinde tulad ng desktop na kaya hanggang umaga… kaya care na rin ako…. off sandali then turn on pag alam na ok na sya… and scan scan always kaya eto ok pa ang neo lapi ko…
to jho. anung model ng neo mo?
i really like ur laptops they r so sosyal
specially sausy laptops of urs….
people plz, help me i hate neo loptop
pana pabalikX2 nila ako ever huhu still they can’t my loptop’s problem huhu]
Last time I used my Neo to record TV shows! madaling araw kya iniwan ko lng nakabukas hanggang mag lo-bat. Auto shutdown naman sya. Saturdays whole day ko sya ON.
to meg: NEO B2186N .. I already talk with the manager ng NEO.. dahil daw sa sratch kaya void na warranty ko.. I am asking them to tell me the reason behind those scratch pero they can’t explain well..hmm.. una sabi sa akin i need to pay 12k for the replacement .. anu ako hilo.. hmm .. neo will see.. if they dissapoint me.. kahit hindi naman cause un scratch ng sira ng LCD ko…factory defect.. walang kwenta ang neo laptop..promise.. dont ever buy it..
Start-up company ksi.I guess when it comes to service talagang lacking pa sila. I dont expect them to do an execellent job in fixing my lappy in the future. Mura naman ksi. Its better to take extra care of it pra di ma-spoil agad. Ingatan sa init, gasgas at hulog. hehehe
to otik
ayun na nga eh.. start up company nga sila so they need to have a good quality and service para magtagal sila.. hindi reasonable kasi ang mga reasons nila….
to jho
you are not alone!
thanks for the advice. we’re planning to buy one sana pero dahil dito sa useful thread na ito mukhang hindi na NEO.. thanks.
Can I ask a question… do you think guys, is it reasonable ba na maging COSMETIC DAMAGE ang konting scratch sa screen?
TSaka pwede bang i null at void ang waranty if there is only a slight scratch( take note: super liit lang nya )
then ahead of time di nila ako inform.. is it reasonable ba?
that depends on the warranty contract. ano ba nakalagay na conditions para ma void ang warranty?
what caused the scratch? Is it only superficial(In no way cause harm on the monitor screen)? If so, dapat within warranty pa din. In any case, wala ka magagawa kundi mag-complain na lang sa Department of Trade and Industry if they dont want to honor it. Dont expect anything to happen after that. Pagsa-Diyos mu n lng. >_<
yup..otik.. super slight scratch lang sya… what do you mean, don’t expect anything will happen after that? DTI won’t do anything after that?
ksi sa DTI they will take action only if a certain number of complaints from customers (example 10% of the over-all sold in the market become defective)on the quality of their products.
hello,
I had neo laptop. It just bog down. I had it checked by neo service center… They said that that it has no power problem but did not clearly states what’s wrong…. And they afe replacing the main board for a whopping P11T! almost half the price when it was bought!. What’s wrong with NEO? Please improve your unit and your services…. OR ELSE, you may be written off as a choice for buying laptops….
@im_lost
kung speaker ang problem mo sa neo mo try mo mag e-mail sa akin ibarmagic@yahoo.com may suggestions ako, ginawa ko na dito sa neo ko na napalakas ang volume ng speaker and im satisfied with and im sure masatisfy k din. i try mo lang.
@tibbar
“its too late to learn when your under fire”…BAT NGAYUN KO LANG NABASA ITO..i buy neo laptop last january 31, 2009 after only merely 3 mants of servicebility (NASIRA)BUT … dinala ko sa store for repair and they ferry it forward to manila they give feedback to me after 100 days only to find out that may water or liquid traces daw…and the cost for the reapair is 10k…….BUT WHY?…..
to tibbar,
hi po… ask ko lang kung pede ko rin pong malaman ung way para lumakas din ung speakers ng laptop ko. btw, my laptop is neo vivid v2120… here’s my e-add… nestor_lumbis@yahoo.com
thanks.. ^_^
At saka, sinabi niya, “don’t bother repair it, these earlier models break down easily. The screen or ibang piyesa could fail soon & replacements are expensive. NEO quality is getting better, but still not as good as Lenovo, Acer, HP, Dell…”
oks naman neo pati printer na free. i bought it feb 2007 at octagon. I encountered LCD problem, oks din kasi 2 months na tapos na sana ang warranty at buti umabot, eh napalitan naman. un nga lang talagang battery lang ang problem pero i used through outlet na lang. i also bought usb cooling pad kaya kahit more than 8 hrs of continuous usage oks lang din. siguro nasa alaga din yan…kahit anong brand, kung hindi luv, eh magtampo yan…
ask ko lang kung ano solution sa problem ng laptop ko na neo nag update kc ako ng bios setup using internet but after i restar my laptop wala na display.tnx
Tanong ko lang mga bro dyan na bumili ng NEO as of 2009 and better yet those who bought from june till now, Are NEO laptops better now than before? Kasi understandable na marami pa rpoblema mga unang product but if until now their products are as problematic as before then ibang kaso na yan. Please respond lalo nayung mga kabibili lang. Filipino product ito so try nating supportahan.
after reading all these comments, now I know why my Neo laptop casing is all cracked up in the wrong places. It has never been forced open nor dropped but the frame is really bad now.mahinang klase materials talaga. no technical glitzes so far except for terrible speakers.
just buy a laptop here in japan 15 thousand yen in hardoff and pcnet in nagoya. hp , fujitsu , sony , nec
Some of the users naman kasi gusto sa laptop ay pang habang buhay. Walang mga ganun na unit. Ang once you buy a laptop it is a choice and it is a risk because it is a electronic device.
im using NEO B2145N for almost 3 mos pa lang. i used it everyday, for at least 5 hours a day (surfing, games, music, photo editing, video editing, etc.), so far wala pa naman akong naging problema, maliban sa hanggang 2.5 hours lang ang battery, which is normal for a 5-cell batt.
Good day. I’ve had 3 neo laptops and I’ve had no problem with them. My first was a neo basic laptop and I sold it to a friend who said it’s still working up to now. My 2nd neo, which I bought last year (1st semester of 2008) is a vivid apple green dual core 14″ laptop with 2 gb memory which is now over a year and I bought another neo laptop which is Vivid 1195 atom (also with a 2 gb memory) when I was in Cagayan de Oro for a seminar last august. Both are working perfectly. I use adobe photoshop cs3 (and other programs) on both laptops and so far so good, no problem with both neos.
To Tibbar,
My email ad is dboone29@yahoo.com. Hope to hear from you.
I bought it since December 2008 (my xmas gift to myself :))
yung battery lang tlga yung medyo problematic as it only lasts 30mins to an hour.
ALso nga pala boss Tibbar, bka pwede din i-share sakin kung pano mag-improve yung speakers ng laptop ko. please email me @ foxy17@gmail.com
Thanks a lot.
I am another who will never by Neo again. I have several friends who had purchased Neo’s and they all had problems with their units and all have replaced them with other products. In my case the battery died (as in - will not hold a charge for more than five minutes). The retaining clip for the battery broke and Neo support wanted the piece back before they would repair it (as if I could find a small piece of broken black plastic). The hard disk crashed and they were unable to recover data from the disk (I purchased very good software for less than $100 which enabled me to recover over 90% of my data). All with a notebook less than 6 months old.
In comparison an Acer I purchased about 7 years ago had a HD crash after about 2.5 years. The Acer service center not only recovered my data onto the replacement disk, they recovered three essential partitions onto CD and gave it to me before I left the center so I could continue working.
Neo definitely gets a fail grade from me.
I am another customer of Neo management who had an nightmare with one of their brand laptop M540N with the serial no. NKM540N07A03058. nabili ko ang laptop na ito last yr. Feb 2008 sa PC express sa Mantrade makati for almost 40thou, after 1yr and 4 months… so lumagpas ako sa warranty period na out of no where nasira ang laptop. Kaya i decided to bring this laptop to Neo Care cervice center sa Megamall. They accept my laptop and one of their technician did an initial diagnose to my laptop and he says that it is a Hardware problem kasi No display ang LCD. I agree kasi dati na din ako technical so i know its a hardware proble. Sinabi sakin ng technician na kung may spareparts mabilis lang daw makukuha ang laptop.mga after 3 days or a week makakarecieved daw ako ng quotation how much ang estimate na gastos. July 11 ko binigay sa kanila ang laptop but sablay ang sabi sakin na 3 days or a week ang quotation… July 21 ko na narecieved ang email nila sakin and they inform me how much it will cause sa pagpapa ayos ng laptop ko. Tumawag ulit ako sa kanila today October 16 2009 to know the status of my laptop pero ganon padin sabi yun inorder daw nila na spareparts na inorder nila dati ay sira din… imagine na inintay ko within 1 and half months bago dumating tapos sasabihin ulit sakin na I have to wait daw for another 14 days para daw mapalitan ang motherboard na inorder nila… At napaisip ako at sinabi ko na I’ll just to cancel my request to fix my laptop dahil nakakastress na talaga yun gingawa nila sakin. they dont know to value the time of their customer… paasa lang sila ng paasa…
I have a neo v2120 laptop na i bought august 2008. Its ok pa na man. except for the battery life na 30 mins to 1 hr din at ang bilis uminit. Pero i also plug in and have a fan for the laptop so not a big problem. The screen is also very prone to marks hindi katulad nang ibang laptop na better quality yung screen. At ang sound minsan naging squeaky if you set it sa highest volume. But ok nmn siya for the price. I can still use it and not too bothered with the small problems.
If you haven’t bought a laptop and your thinking about buying a neo… Humanap ka nlng ng iba siguro if you want to be fully satisfied sa performance ng laptop mo. Pero if you want a neo talaga… ok nmn xa. hindi awesome. hindi rin super great. Ok lang…
i purchased a Neo G30. After 14 months the hard drive crashed & went dead. I replaced, no warranty. Then the Video card died (15 months), again no warranty & they want 13,000 + to fix. Further, they did not even carry the part.
My advice, buy HP or Toshiba, a touch more expensive originally, but cheaper in the mid to longer term.
Neo should not be in the computer business.
@Dreniva i think pinakamura is BLUE laptop its around 10k…anyway this is my second posting of comments here and my neo laptop is still working well even i dropped it few days ago while its inside the bag it slipped on my shoulder, except for the DVD drive its faulty after falling.
after reading the comments.. i think Neo laptops are disposable. worst is when you pick up a bad crop, and does you service for only a couple of months.
please Neo you have to prove your company worthy. if not, there will come a time that it will die.
-Mr. Anderson
I own a NEO BASIC 3180N. I guess it is one of their 1st models. After 6mos of purchased, I am now experiencing problem with the monitor. When i switch it ON, the monitor remains blank. After few retry (power off-power on repeatedly) It will work again. I want to bring it to the service ctr but I have lost my receipt, still have the warranty card though. I hope they will accept it ‘coz I dont have enough money yet for the repair which I was told may cost a lot. ANyone can help me with this problems? Is there a fault in my LCD or my hard disk or other parts? Im totally clueless!
oh, the battery drains so fast so I always have to use the adapter. The cooling fan is awful also, I am thinking on buying laptop coolers, Will this help or may give more damage? HELP. thank you
I have a neo q-note m360C.it had a defective lcd but i managed to repair it.its still working. i have no complains with it despite a defective dvd drive which im planning to replace anyway. this is one bad ass model form neo, my brother in law has given this q-note a beating.he puked on it which caused the lcd to malfunction,he also dropped it accidentally twice.after it has been stored for almost 1 1/2 year in their closet after its lcd broke, he gave it to me. i tried my luck with it,repaired it. and now its working despite the defect i mentioned earlier.I saved this q-notes ass from “dumpster”…….
Bought my NEO laptop on June of 2007. and it still works great… even if it’s almost 2 1/2 years old. It’s mostly being used for gaming… FPS, RTS, RPG, etc. almost everyday… I even use it to play MMOs everyday while running multiple downloads and playing music at the same time. I also use it for watching movies both in .avi and DVD formats since I purchased it. I guess I can conclude that it’s a question of who uses it and how you use it rather than the brand. I guess the people who complain don’t really know how to take good care of their laptop, no doubt. Here’s a little trivia for those ignorants… ‘NEO’ is just a brand. The people who manufacture those laptops for NEO are also the one’s who manufacture for DELL, COMPAQ, and HP. Yes naive people, those big brands just place their company names and logos on the laptops just as NEO does. And yes, you pay 20k more for the brand name. Sigh… the sad truth about capitalism. Most of the laptops NEO brands and sells are manufactured by COMPAL Electronics in Taiwan, the second largest manufacturer of laptops in the world and the laptop supplier of the ‘big’ brands I mentioned above. The same brands that you worship so much and use to diss a small company just because they are, as you term it, ‘unknown’ and ‘CHEAP’. I chose this brand not because I can’t afford ‘branded’ laptops coz we also own a COMPAQ, LENOVO, and ACER laptop plus two generic desktops I built myself. I chose NEO at that time because I wanted to give a small, thriving company a shot at the notebook market. I guess I’m not as narrow-minded as those who purchased NEO coz it’s ‘cheap’ and are now whining. Word of advice… laptops are machines which needs a human to operate it, so instead of cursing the brand for the problems you encounter, curse the schmuck using it… Oh, case in point, I don’t work for NEO, I am just a simple college student in a private University located in Taft Ave, Manila, so, I am in no way acquainted in any way with the company known locally as NEO.

3 years na. Dual Channeling pla ito kya mabilis.Unlike yung nabili ko bagong unit suzuki with 256 graphics which broke down 8 months pa lang. Bought it in Singapore. BUTI NA LANG!!! Inayus agad. Actually pinalitan na lang ng another “NEW” unit ng technician after my second visit ksi may problem pa din after repair. Now Only three months warranty left! This year they offered 3 years warranty for thier lappy’s Bummer!!!!
@lawliet> ganian din nangyari sakin.. kahit fully charged, hindi bumubukas pag pinindot ang power button… ganito lang gawin mo, dalhin mo sa NEO shop yan kung me warranty pa, but if the warranty is expired, I suggest go to a technician and tell him/her that you need a BIOS update… sabi kasi nung pumunta ako sa NEO shop para patingnan yung ganyang case sa Lappy ko, BIOS update lang daw yung ginawa nila…
hope my post helped both of you. ^_^

TO ALL Neo Qnote M540N users (crica 2006 to 2008)
looking for a DRIVER Neo Qnote M540N
I tried desperately looking for a driver and there is none.
The horror stories are true. The customer service was not
at all helpful but was incredibly succesful in verifying that indeed my warranty has expired.
in anycase to those who have lost their drivers, I tried downloading the following drivers and it works perfectly!!!!
use the driver specs for Empriva 540NVP2i
all the drivers for modem, camera, wifi lan, lan, sound, video chipset, flashdrive, hotkeys, modem, work perfectly..just DO NOT download the driver for the chipset since the chipset is entirely different
download it at http://www.neo.com.ph/support_dloads_empriva_02.aspx
here’s my take on being a NEO user since 2007.
I did not have a SINGLE headache on this laptop. I do DJ work and live electronica with my neo and the reason I bought this is that it has SPDIF out which splits the channel in 2. So technically I get to have 2 outputs.
Just invest in a good original ANTI VIRUS its so worth it.
This NEo of mine never hanged unless I max the programs out.
I recently upgraded my neo to 500GB and 3GB memory. Ill let you guys know how it works. If it works well, this could be the best laptop for DIY laptop users out there who’s into upgrading with budget constraint.
hope this helps
boyramos
I have had my neo laptop for 2 yeArs now and after this new year’s eve it was screwed up and the monitor has no display and the battery was also dead… I felt hopeless after reading all your comments here and I don’t know now what to do with my neo laptop with model 54se… I now I learned my lesson that ” I will get what I should pay for” it so cheap but the quality isn’t good…
@ Boy Ramos “I tried desperately looking for a driver and there is none.
The horror stories are true. The customer service was not
at all helpful but was incredibly succesful in verifying that indeed my warranty has expired.” –> What happened? They shunned you from their sight?
apparently its not the lap top monitor per se, change the battery its dead.
NEO IS A CHEAP LAPTOP BRAND. BUT TOLERABLE AND ACCEPTABLE NAMAN ANG QUALITY NG UNIT. SINCE MURA LANG I-EXPECT LANG NA 1 - 2 TAON LANG ANG BUHAY NG UNIT.
ANG PROBLEMA LANG AY KAPAG MAAGA NA SIRA ANG UNIT NIYO. PATAY KANA SA AFTER SALES SERVICE NILA. HUMANDA KA NA SIGURADONG MAUUBUSAN KA NG PASENSIYA. ANG TAGAL NA NILA SUMAGOT SA TELEPONO I PAG PASAPASAHAN KA PA. ANG DAMI KONG BAD EXPERIENCE SA KANILA.
KUNG MAARI SA OPINION KO DAPAT LAST OPTION NA NIYO ANG NEO KAPAG BIBII NG LAPTOP.
KUNG KAYA NAMAN BUMILI NG MGA INTERNATIONAL BRAND SIGURADONG MAHUSAY ANG SERBISYO KAPAG NASIRA.
Hello meron akong neo Élan L3105

in fairness naman bumili ako last year dec 2009 ng neo elan2270, yun nga laki ng gulat ko di ma install ang graphics driver at nag blue screen, tapos d ko na pansin naka angat na pala ung isang letter ng keypad. so ang ginawa ko ipina check ko sa service center nila sa sm mega mall(feb 2010).sabi nila tawag daw ako after 10 working days, after that nakuha ko na ang unit ko, pinalitan nila ang mother board at keypad na walang bayad, so far okey na ang graphics nya naka pag laro na ako ng renegade at war hammaer ng hindi naman nagka problema. na test ko na rin sya pa takbuhin ng naka battery, it runs upto 2 hours. until now ginagamit ko sya. sa tingin ko depende cguro sa mood ng mga taga service center kasi ako wala naman ako naging problema sa kanila. so good luck sa atin mga neo users….. sana tumagal ang ating buhay at ang ating mga laptop……God bless.

My sister bought a Neo laptop, the model I dont remember but at the bottom it shows model: M12CW, product code: M120W. It was bought years ago when Neo was still new, there were’nt any vista at that time. On the same day we bought it, after fully charging it at home, it won’t start, not even to BIOS. We went back to Megamall the same day, & the tech reformatted the harddisk but still didnt work, he said motherboard was defective. So they replaced with a new laptop unit. After few months it wont boot beyond the BIOS, we went back to Megamall, the tech reformatted the harddisk but still didnt work, he said we need to buy a new harddisk. It ran fine atfer that. Finally about 2008 or 2009, it wont boot to BIOS. We just didnt bother anymore. I was curious & took the laptop apart, I noticed the power supply board had a burnt portion & it’s internal copper foil traces was shorted in the inside of the PCB. For an old laptop when Neo was still new, i can accept that kind of trouble & learn from it, dont buy Neo again.
Now that Neo has grown with new line-ups & customer resolution is getting worse, dont ever buy neo again for the next 5years or so. For those having software or driver issues & cant find help, just look for the model # or product code at the back & search it in the internet, you’ll be lucky if you find the originating manufacturer & get support from them. Peace
Neo Neo Neo too many many people lambasted this poor local brand,I don’t blame for making comments againts Neo for your experiences with the brand. But did you also read comments againts HP,Dell,Acer or lenovo?Maybe folks you are not aware of it because you single out neo for being a local brand.Yes I upgraded myself to HpDv6 but i still has my Neo endura 505 gl which i bought 5 years ago, which is still very reliable, it never have system crash ever nor reformatted it is an entry level laptop with pentiun m 1.6 Gma 912/915 graphics and 40 hd. it serves me well at work and entertainment as well, with collin mcrae rally, need for speed 2,warcaft 3,battle realms ,beachhead 1 and 2 and the old red alert. yes it does not play all thus games with factory given specs without an upgrade,I upgraded the ram to make xp happy with at least 2 gig, updated video driver via intel.Yes Intel not Neo,intel supports all intel based mother boards. The difference between Branded and Generic(Neo)computers is the after sales support, the branded ones have R&D department for possible bug fixes in the future that’s why you pay premium for branded ones.the hardwares/flatform are all the same or similar, the difference is the software and softwares are all intructions, what if there is some bad intruction within the software?the R&D department will release patches for it to optimize your machine, w/o you guessing what had happened to your computer.whether generic or Branded it is still You the owner who should know how to run your machine,if you don’t know how to run it, then you should pay for more…Don’t blame neo, they’re just giving alternative for cash starved filipino like me.
@ bong
amen to that. im a neo laptop and mines two years old now and still going great. these people that are ranting about neo are obviously doesnt know a s.it about computers. theyre like drivers that knows only riding and doesnt have any idea about care and maintenance.
i also agree bong… the only problem with neo is their after sales support… but with the laptop itself, nil.
*Currently enjoying my NEO Empriva 540 NVP2i’s three years of unending 24/7 service.
Customer service? Nightmare? Not me. If anything goes wrong, andyan naman yung binilhan ko. Anyways, kakilala ko naman yung may-ari. And, oh, as I stated somewhere in this page, I only required his assistance for a BIOS update.
indeed neo laptops are not a reliable investment, i had one a gift from my father who just retired from the service, i was excited to use the new laptop, just in a matter of 1 year indeed the life of NEO laptops collapsed, first key i could not anymore use the key boards, them i lost the sound, then it just pop off.. no virus no anything it just died… i try to bring my laptop to the repair shop they just turned me down, “ang sabi bibilhin na lang nila ng Php 500.00 para sa part”. that is my experience with my NEO laptop.
I think this is where all the complains go.
hi…im a new owner of a neo basic laptop…not so familiar with its codes but i hope despite of all the nega feedbacks from previous years eh maayos na ang performance ng neo ngayung 201,:)
just an additional for #251 (lawliet)
its the same thing as what happened to my laptop before it totally went off. i cant turn it on without hooking the charger so i have to charge it the whole time while i am using it. after 1 or 2 months of doing that it totally went off and i cant turned it on anymore. my 40thousand pesos neo is now a very pricey “JUNK”….

tanong lang po, i have a neo vivid 2121.okay naman ung peformance ng laptop ko.ung battery niya last 1 hour, same as ung ibang laptop, the only problem is ayaw niya mag turn on ung hndi nakasaksak ung adaptor niya.help naman po if you encountered the same problem.maraming salamat po, Godbless:)

Hi.. i’m planning to buy a Neo Netbook. I would like to ask to those who have purchased, at kung ano ang comment/s nila.. Salamat.
@278
“ung battery niya last 1 hour, the only problem is ayaw niya mag turn on ung hndi nakasaksak ung adaptor niya.”
ha????? nakasaksak na naturn off pa after one hour? baka nsa setting na ng program na mag turn off sya after an hour. ipacheck mo kung nag chacharge yug batt then ipa check mo din yung sa power supply baka hindi nagrerelease para sa battery pag nakahugot/nakadisconnect
for 279
kung medyo bitin ang budget mo go for neo
but if may budget ka naman, go for other brands.
my neo elan 2270 is still working fine…….(bought it last dec. 2009 used for gaming and video/audio editing)
i’m planning to buy neo b3300 netbook because of its great specs and cheap price. anyone who bought it already? any comments? is it good?
@280
u dont understand wat she was trying to say… i fully understand her because it happened to my neo laptop…. pag d mo isaksak sa charger u cant turn the laptop on and kahit naka on na ang laptop with the charger on it…pagtinanggal mo ang pagkakasaksak ng charger ma ooff din ang laptop so basically dapat naka saksak ang charger the whole time na ginamit mo ang laptop… yan i think ang major downside ng neo… and much worst sa part ko after 1 or 2 months kong pinagtiisan ang ganung sitwasyon ang neo laptop ko totally went off kahit nakasaksak sa charger di ko na ma on hanggang ngaun nakatambay na lang…. hope u wer enlightened with her real problem…. this is not some kind of electricity problem… kabulukan talaga ng neo ito…
@278
“ung battery niya last 1 hour, the only problem is ayaw niya mag turn on ung hndi nakasaksak ung adaptor niya.”
ha????? nakasaksak na naturn off pa after one hour? baka nsa setting na ng program na mag turn off sya after an hour. ipacheck mo kung nag chacharge yug batt then ipa check mo din yung sa power supply baka hindi nagrerelease para sa battery pag nakahugot/nakadisconnect
@283 and 279
dont ever do that baka magsisi ka lang dont take your chances maybe 283 was just one of the few lucky ones na d nagloloko ang neo…. mas maraming nagsasabi na nagkaproblema sila sa neo including me… try mo munang mag imbestiga visit other forums and hear what others say about neo… mas maraming negative feedbacks kesa sa positive think about it…
for 279
kung medyo bitin ang budget mo go for neo
but if may budget ka naman, go for other brands.

281 i mean not 283 even if you have a very tight budget think it over … dont just grab neo because it is the only that suits your budget
I’m lost sa nasabi mo 285.
ahh ok ok..
*Currently enjoying my NEO Empriva 540 NVP2i’s three years of unending 24/7 service.

#97 i have a friend who owns a NEO Empriva just like mine, a line appeared on his lcd monitor, we brought it to megamall, after diagnosing it and determined that it was not due to carelessness they had us leave the unit to them to replace the monitor and in a week time we got it back with the new lcd. maybe some of those who are postings are not really telling the whole story. some of the stories here are somewhat funny and some are outight ridiculous and stupid. bought a laptop to play games with? and complain when it breaksdown? they should have bought gameboy or ps or psp or desk top or just buy a ball go outside and play outdoors itll be good for them.
some says theirs hangs up well its not the laptop its the user, its in the files they keep on accumulating there, the viruses and worms that creeped in because they never care to install a good antivirus sw, or just like a driver who only care to drive and never care for the maintenance of the car, never checks the water and when the engine overheats they rant and whine.buyers/consumers also have the responsibility to care for what they have bought, read the manuals before using as they said, even in buying a top of the line unit, they also say take good care to serve you well. nuff said, thats my two cents take it or leave it no need to respond.thank you.

all the positive feedback of neo were respected so please respect also those negative feedback as well.. kasi basically if yours were actual experiences so as ours were also actual experiences…. were not making up stories this is what really happened with our neo laptops.. if yours was not broken after 3 or 4 years or more … then i call you …. few of the lucky ones… scan the whole page of this forum you can hand count those who says neo was a good brand….
@124 - how on earth can we sing praises on neo kung talaga namang their product was no good… we were patriotic when we purchase the product didnt u think of that…. ofcourse if u dont get the right services that was promised to you you’ll be pissed off and say your piece… i am no hypocrite i would say the product is good if it is really good… and say its no good if it was infact ill performing product…if we are morons then probably we’ll keep our mouth shut and let our “fellow filipinos” buy this sucking product….wen u say good things about the product wala namang nangingi alam sa inyo because u are respected kung ganun nga naman talaga nangyari sa laptop nyo still in use and no problems good for you… just be happy that your one of the few lucky ones
This site really declaring that most filipinos are morons and have lots of colonial mentallity!!!!
Pasalamat kayo meron tayong sariling brand.
For feedback or hatemail you can reach me at rai2wise@yahoo.com
I agree. My Neo V2120 purchased last July 12, 2009 had a battery problem common in most Neo products. So sabi 1 week daw yung pagrepair, but it only takes 2 days, and newly replaced battery pa huh. I thought date na 6 months na lang warranty sa battery but in my case, napalitan pa yung battery
Thank you for this blog site:
i have been reading yung mga posts dito sa blog site na ito and it is positive to hear na gumaganda na ang product quality and after sales ng Neo. I am an lenovo and asus laptop user for a long, long time pero once I wanted to buy a Neo laptop too since its Philippine made (Example, all Toshiba laptops once were all made in the Philippines sa Laguna Technopark, until nagtransfer assembly nila sa China kasi mas mura labor) and that it has a service center, but because of this blog site, nabasa ko yung hirap na inabot ng mga customer from a laptop na madaling masira and poor after sales. Mabuti na lang di ako nakabili ng Neo laptop that time. Pero I am sure na the Neo guys are also reading this blogsite which prompted them to improve on service and the quality of the product. If Neo keeps up with their commitment in quality and service, baka sa next purchase ko Neo na bilhin ko…..
I actually had a good experience with their center in shaw blvd. The guy at the counter was a little strange, but likeable enough. Anyway, I was just using my laptop the other night working on a report then when I tried turning it on in the morning, laptop wasn’t turning on. I originally went to their Megamall site, but they said that it would take them a week to fix it because they had to send it out to get repaired. The report I was working on had to be turned in the next day so I asked if there was any chance I could take my lappy to the place they were going to send it to try to cut through some red tape. They directed me to Shaw Blvd (look for babyland on the left side they said). I walked the corner from Megamall to Shaw Blvd and a short jeep ride later, I spot Babyland and the neo beside it. 3 hours later (yes, it took 3 hours, but atleast it’s fixed), I received my laptop back. I think the moral of the story is cut the red tape, if you need your laptop fast, go straight to their main center in shaw.
we bought a neo q-note back in 07 when vista came out. i have to agree with some of the posts here before. my major complaints are 1)the battery on our q-note died before the 1 year period, we just never bothered with the warranty. 2) it did not come with any restore cds and the make a restore cd option that came with the OS was useless. made one and when i needed to reformat/restore the laptop the cd had nothing in it, and 3) my cmos battery died just after a year and a half (so i took the battery out and replaced it). i am a tech geek and a certified dell technician so i know what to do when a laptop breaks down. apart from those, i can say the laptop is running fine. i did a few updates software wise (ran ubuntu and win 7 on this laptop) and its going smoothly. perhaps im just one of the lucky ones that got one of those few good laptops.
I got my lenovo g450 for about 24,200 pesos, at masasabi ko na hindi pa ako binibigyan ng kahit anong hardware related problems.
Hi. I almost have the same problem with my neo laptop as with the others. I think this unit really needs a good deal of tending. LoL. Btw, that’s not my issue here. I would like to ask if there is by any chance a possibility that I can avail with their warrant? Im still on the spare of their one year warranty, but my bro unwisely let the laptop be repaired not by octagon (that’s where we bought it which I believe is a licensed distributor) but by a certain pc clinic before (they reprogrammed it). And my current problem is my LCD’s not working. It started as flickering/shaking display, until it got worst that its now making some “cloudy splash” (everything else is black). Ok, i think I’m going out of my point (lol), can I still expect my warranty? Cheers!
Yep Yep two thumbs up ako sa NEO, back in 2008 dumating sakin HP Pavilion Tx1000, so enjoy ako. then after a year (2009) pumapangit na performance both software and hardware, same year may dumating sakin ung NEO free pa xa ng PLDT huh, potek maniwala kau sa hindi ung HP ko naka tambak nalng ngaun, mas nag enjoy ako sa NEO, i never expected na mas okay tong NEO kala ko basurang Laptop lang, ngaun mag 1year na xa sakin and still wala pa kong reklamo, hopefully wala nga hehe, d pa pumapangit performance nya, parang balak ko ulet tuloy mag avail ng promo sa PLDT para may free NEO ulet ako hahaha
Hello NEO users,
i sympathize to all of you, my friend had an experience same as you did. i noticed that many of you are in agony and frustration. i recommend reporting NEO company to DTI (department of trade and industry), now that P-NOy is our new president maybe hopes will be up for JUSTICE!!!
flood DTI with your comments and frustrations and demand your request because you are not just one person, you petitions as a group will be heard, just be honest, give your name, address or email so they’ll confirm. show them this webpage…
It was a good thing na nagkaroon ng blogsite na katulad nito. Because of this, gumanda ang after sales nila, as shown dito sa mga recent blogs na nilagay dito. Lets continue to support this blogsite. I like Neo kasi produktong Pinoy, and mura talaga.
My niece and I decided to buy this neo notebook last year.
Until last month, it had been working properly.
But now, even though the battery icon is still half, it turns off quickly. The memory card slot doesn’t function anymore.
T.T
Ang dami palang problem ang nakapost dito. Nakakagulat.
thks for giving me idea which laptop to buy
